How large are the tablets? I have an aversion to swallowing pills and can't manage large ones.

I had no trouble swallowing them. They are a tablet not a gel- possibly could be cut in half. They are about the size of a milk of magnesia tablet or smaller. They did help me for a while--

Is this enteric coated?

NO, it is NOT enteric coated. While Mega-zyme will pass through the stomach acid, it does NOT do so because is Enteric coated. The producers of Mega-zyme will explain that these tablets MAY pass through the stomach because they have added bi-carb (baking soda). Megazyme (1-800-783-2286)

How long does it take for this to work and for you to feel a difference ?

For me it only took a couple of days for me to know it was working. I took 2 tablets with ever meal, 3 times a day. Worked wonders for me!

Is the enteric coating made from plastic

No. The coating is water soluble cellulose; I'm not aware that it is enteric coated.
