Q: My b & d 14.4 drill is 15-20 years old, charger failed. will this charger work with my unit. only battery reference is a14?

As far as I'm aware I would have thought that your drill uses ni cad batteries and you'd need a charger for that type of battery and if my old drills are the same then they have a post type battery connection and newer lion batteries have a sliding type connecton. this charger is for Li on type batteries and will not charge nicads. Hope this helps
