Great puzzle. Bought as a gift for my parents
Great puzzle. Bought as a gift for my parents. Took two weeks to complete and is surprisingly bigger than expected. Definitely a great puzzle for the price but takes up a bit of space.

Great, & Challenging
i am not an avid puzzle-put-togetherer, but so far it has been a fun ride putting this one together. the bottom half of the puzzle (first base layer) is definitely much harder than the second one - the second half of the puzzle took me maybe 2 hours with the key in hand, but that layer has mostly large pieces in it. the quality of the puzzle so far has been nice, and i do not think i have lost any pieces yet since i have had it (still putting it together) so i hope i can request replacement pieces if the need arises. the buildings are plastic, and fit very well into their respective base pieces. i thought this puzzle would be one of the easier in the series, but i guess i was wrong in that assumption (but then again, is any puzzle THAT easy?). as for educational value, inside the box is a chart of dates and casinos that were built through it's time, but no other materials besides the magnifying glass and color key for the puzzle were in my box. i am not sure what the magnifying glass is for, since the casino pieces don't have much detail - they are more generally shaped. i would recommend this series of puzzles to anyone, definitely.

Terrible Puzzle
Missing pieces, the pieces that are there don't fit well, it looks unattractive and poorly printed and cut, the only difficult part is trying to follow the instructions.

The top two layers were best
We got this for Christmas. My son (13) and I decided to start it and wound up putting only the foam top and buildings together. That was a lot of fun and looks cool. We are not all that motivated to finish the actual puzzle map though. It is too boring. So, if you don't mind paying for just the smaller upper portion of the puzzle, I would go ahead and buy it. I, however, will not be buying the other one we wanted. The price is just too high for an hour of "puzzling" (short time due to not wanting to put the under-map together)

Great product, hours of fun
I bought this for my 12 yr. old God-son and he loves it! We bought the Washington D.C. puzzle a couple of months ago so I decided to add this one for Christmas. I think it was his favorite present over the ones I spent much more money on.

Challenging!
I bought this for my son, the engineer. He has always enjoyed 3D puzzles, so when I saw '4D', I had to check it out. Also, he loves Vegas and just got engaged there this past summer, so it was a no-brainer. I was a little worried that he may have outgrown his love of puzzles since he was 29 when he opened it Christmas morning (now he's turned 30) - but was not disappointed in his response. Once he opened it a couple of days later, and started working on it, he didn't stop until done - about 8 hours later! Very challenging, but fun as it became a group project. I highly recommend it!

Awesome puzzle, but can be very challenging
My son bought this with a gift card and we really enjoyed putting it together. It is a very complex puzzle and I would not recommend it for early builders. We both liked that you could see the progression from the early years of Las Vegas to the the current era. I word of caution, it is easy to get confused by the two separate layers. There were several times where we were searching for a piece only to learn that the section we were working on went to the other level.
