How well does a 15.6 laptop fit?

Perfectly. That's the size of my laptop and I also fit a notepad, pens, etc.

My case was advertised as fitting up to 13.5 inch laptops, so no, your 15.6 inch laptop will probably not fit.

As long as your chromebook is not over 15 inches it should.

This is a great laptop protection bag. It is actually water resistant like it says and it’s soft and padded on the inside. The outside is like a canvass type material. It’s very lightweight and has tons of pockets. It is super cute and is very functional.
