Q: is the stethoscope separate?

NO. It all comes connected, which I actually find is a benefit. That is because the head of the stethoscope is accurately placed when the cuff is lined up with the arrow pointing at the vein.

Q: Does this self taking manual stethoscope contain latex?

Sorry I can't say for sure i know there's nylon and rubber. I take mine with the cuff over shirt sleeve and get a good ready. I would suggest going to product home page and emailing them direct if you have allergy concerns.

Q: Is this a D-ring Cuff?

If your talking about how the cuff band works, the loose end goes thru a RECTANGULAR metal ring so that you pull it back (reversed) onto itself where it will attach to the velcro strips. IMHO using it on another person it works fine, but putting it on yourself is a real trick. the loose end that your using to tighten it properly slips to one end of the rectangular ring (bunches up) and it's almost impossible to keep it straight and tighten the cuff properly. I've scrapped this BP cuff and went to the drug store and bought one that works much easier.
