South Shore Flexible Platform Bed with baskets Pure White, Contemporary

Bought this bed for my 4 year old. Wanted something sturdy so that we could lie or sit with her as well as if she jumped on the bed it wouldn’t break. This is a really high quality bed for a mass produced one. Love that it has storage underneath too!

For the price I am very happy. There was one corner that was chipped but it turned out to be a inside piece so no one can see it. Other than that bed is really nice as are the bins-very sturdy and wish they gave more. Also is very sturdy with just using the mattress alone no boxspring, I am plus size so was worried I might have to get an extra piece of wood or something for added protection but I've been sleeping on it and doesn't creak or feel scary moving around.I will say though I wish I had paid for assembly assistance but I also felt the estra $150 price for that service was ridiculous which is why I declined. But this basically took close to 6 hours with breaks and I have two other people helping me. Alot of pieces that you have to build and while I thought the instructions were easy to read towards the end we had realized some pieces were backwards (mainly the ones with no finish on both sides) and so we can go take some stuff apart and redo.Also just be aware that not only boxes themselves but the actual bed as well is extremely heavy. Luckily I built mine in the room it was staying but when we were done it was crooked so we had to adjust and it was hard to do just that. Can't imagine having to move this thing.

The 360 degree view on Amazon is incorrect. It shows the storage areas going all the way through the bed, from side to side. It also shows storage areas available at the head of the bed. Neither of these is true. The side storage areas are divided by an area running down the center of the bed in which you can't easily store anything. You could take off the mattress and lift the boards and store something in there, not easily accessible. I had hoped I could take out a basket on the side and easily pull out something that was stored on the other side, next to the wall. Not an option. If the side of the bed is next to a wall, as mine is, you won't be able to reach anything stored on that side unless you take the bed apart as I previously described. So there's much less accessible storage than I'd planned on. There is also no storage on the headboard side of the bed as shown in the 360 degree picture. The boards on top of the bed also didn't entirely cover the bed area as shown in the pictures, so we're going to have to saw another piece to cover the gap. I like the bed overall, but I'm really disappointed in there being much less storage available than I thought. The pictures need to be more accuate.

Parts were not to fit seamlessly. Assembly took forever and it’s still not completely rightWould send back but it’s too much to undue and ship. Unfortunately, we’re making it work.

So far, since I just put it together, it's a great bed. Seems sturdy, perfect storage amount, my daughter loves it. It took me 30 minutes to lay out the pieces and check everything over. Then just 1.5 hours to assemble. I did it by myself, so it is possible with just 1 person. I did order the bookshelf headboard to go with this.

The media could not be loaded.  I will say first, I really love the look of this bed frame. It's super sleek, minimal AND it counts as extra storage which is amazing. Assembly took several hours and my boyfriend and step dad had to help. I'm not totally pleased with the overall construction because it feels like it's kinda cheap (the screws don't really add a ton of security it's hard to explain). It is pretty sturdy and doesn't move at all though! With this however it's very difficult to move, we had to take apart a couple pieces to move it (it was easy to take apart because the hardware itself wasn't very strong). I wish we could've screwed the boards into place because they will move up and down if my mattress moves but it isn't a huge deal. Because I got the white color dust and dog hair show up frequently on the boxes but it's nothing I can't just clean, I overall loke this bed frame! I wouldn't pay the price again though. Took a star off for just overall mobility and construction for the price, but honestly it's kind of my fault for buying such a heavy bed frame without thinking how easy it would be to rearrange. If it was cheaper I'd def give 5 stars.

This bed is attractive for a young persons room. The quality is good at this price. Assembly took time like this type of furniture always does but all in all pretty easy. Definitely helps if you have a driver tool. I can’t imagine doing it with basic hand tools. It would have taken a lot longer!! There are a lot of parts. I did it in two hours with good tools.

Easy to assemble. Took longer for me since I started at 8pm and I was tired. Made me feel proud that I did most of it on my own. I wish I had done this before starting, seasoned pros may already know this, check off each item as it is comes out. It took me 3 times to go through everything and ensure I had it all. Again, I started while I was tired. Stopped after the 5th step cause I was getting confused lol. Next day it took about 3 hours with breaks in between, neuropathy made it hard to sit for long. It was fun to do. Hubby helped at the end. If the sides are not in the right angle, the center boards won’t go in. I will probably get contact paper to cover those inner boards, they are plain and rough. I plan to use the center part for storage. I ordered a trifold mattress to make it easier to get to.I am disappointed with the storage bins. They just didn’t give enough for them. 4 bins for 3 sides just doesn’t come out evenly. I tried to find more of the same ones, but I can’t find them. I just feel like there should be 6. It seems like a very sturdy bed. If it changes in the future I will update. It is a guest bed so will not be used as much.

Boxes were well packed and delivered quickly. All pieces were received in good shape. The instructions for assembly could have been better. Was hard to tell on some symmetric pieces except for the edge finish which way was up or down. I thought final connections of all pieces together were a bit flimsy also, so finish final build close to final placement of bed and get help to move it, it's heavy. Final product looks very nice and granddaughter was very happy with final result.

This is a great bed. It’s very cute and exactly how it’s pictured. I read reviews that it was difficult to put together so I hired a Taskrabbit to assemble. He finished it in 30-45 minutes.

For those who want to be part of a great great adventure, I highly suggest to do it at least with 2 people. Packaging is heavy duty so be prepared but the final product speaks for itself... enjoy it!!

Two “P” pieces were missing so I called customer service and was told it would take a week or so to arrive. Thankfully I wasn’t charged extra. The support doesn’t match up so I’m worried about that and I don’t know how to fix it. This item wasn’t worth the cost. I wouldn’t even stand on this bed lol

I was a little put off by some reviews claiming that this was very difficult to assemble, but I had no issues. It calls for two people and I did it myself with no difficulty, it just takes some time. Make sure you follow the directions, they’re a little confusing at a glance so go slowly. Overall I love the frame and all the storage, it’s exactly as advertised

This is sturdy and has the feel of lasting a long time. I bought this a year ago and it is just as good as day one. It takes some time to put together, but it was worth it to me. My 15 year old loves it and even bought different color baskets to match her room, whenever she changes. We have moved the bed around several times and it is still going strong. Definitely worth the money to me.

The bed itself is fine. The instructions lack quite a bit to be desired. I have assembled my fate share and there are just some details that could be done much better. The top platform basically just sits there. Nothing securing the boards. The video about the support at the head of the bed boy lining up is also accurate. I had to move the board to the outside instead of the inside.
