GreenView Pure Grass Seed Perennial Ryegrass Blend, 20 lb. Bag – Covers up to 10,000 sq. ft.

This is excellent seed with no fillers, just pure grass seed! Our yard was mostly weeds and patches of coarse fescue and Bermuda grass that was uncomfortable to walk on barefoot, with spots of bare soil scattered throughout. I’ve been slowly working on over-seeding it with this seed and it already looks so much better! Excellent germination rate, and comes in nice and thick, with very thin dark green blades that are super soft. We have a mixture of full sun and shade, and it has germinated well in both. For comparison, I spread this seed in my front yard the same day that I spread a Scott’s brand seed in a bare section of my backyard. This seed is already almost 2 inches tall and the Scott’s seed hasn’t even germinated a single blade of grass. I put some down last Fall and I noticed that this spring it greened up several weeks before the fescue or Bermuda grass did. Once I get this nice and established everywhere, I’m going to put something down to kill all the weeds, but this does appear to be competing very well with them and the other grass so far.

Almost immediate results! I was not seeing much progress after going through 2 containers of Scott's easy seed and ordered Greenview on a whim. I don't know anything about lawn repair or maintenance but my grass took a beating over the winter and it needed to be remedied. I started noticing growth after a day. Although it is baby fine at first, I'm confident the grass will continue to grow and eventually fill in.

I am shocked with the results. After detaching, i have done top dressing and Planted this rygrass seeds in end April when temperatures is above 60F. Covered the seeds with peat moss to keep it moist and water the seeds 3 to 4 times a day with sprinklers. Awesome quality.

I’m telling you this is the best grass to use. I’ve gotten so much of this stuff and given it away. as a gift it grows great grass it doesn’t have fillers it pure grass it works.. I throw it out there all year long. Even on top of The snow.. I love beautiful grass. I don’t play around..

Waste of money for me. It grew NOTHING BUT WEEDS. Had some big and small spots to fill in on my backyard and got this brand cause it seemed like a good deal. Been about 3 weeks and it has grown not a single blade of grass but TON of giant weeds in those spots. Now I have to go pull all that out, retill, and get the brand I did when I redid my front yard. May have been more expensive but at least it grew grass I stead of this crap.

Seed germinated about 50 percent ok for the price but not lush.

I put down 20 lb of this grass during the end of July and beginning of September here in Middle Tennessee. The grass struggled to grow at first because of the poor soil conditions, the invasive Bermuda grass, and the Heat, so it died in the front yard where I wanted to grow it. I did not know that there was a layer of asphalt 2 in underneath my lawn so I tilled up the entire lawn and put new grass down. I did sprinkle this all over my yard after having the entire yard leveled. I didn't water it and I didn't pay attention to it while I worked on the front part of my yard to make it ready for plantig new grass. I planted a variety of tall fescues, creeping red, hard, chewing fescues, and perennial ryegrass from Pennington, barenbrug, and Scott's. While I was babying that grass, the fairway formula from greenview was establishing itself all across my back inside yards. About a month or two after I established the front yard I started to notice this deep green, lucious, amazing, beautiful, resilient bunch grass all over my back and side yards. This Grass had actually established itself and become gorgeous! I intend to plant the stuff again in the spring along the side of my house because it's looking amazing in the deep shade, clay soil. I wish I had properly prepared my grass and ensured that the drainage and soil was ready for this grass. It really is the best, commercially available grass. I attached a picture of what it looks like after not being cut or cared for since I threw it on the ground.
