This is brilliant lawn looks so much better the grass grew really thick and quickly no raking out weeds or moss .

I've not really ever needed to use lawn feed, but that's because our previous garden seemed to have perfect conditions for growing lush and even. With our newer garden looking like it needs a bit of a boost, we tried this. I have seen my dad using something similar on his lawn over the years, but I was careful to follow the instructions carefully.My dad has always done this job by hand and so I was really interested in the inbuilt distribution method you could use on straight from the box, but having tried this on a small section at the front (a tiny strip of grass alongside the path), it seemed quite hard to control the spread, so opted for doing the main lawn by hand (gloved hand!)The results weren't instantaneous, but after a number of weeks, the grass did look greener and lusher - but in the meantime the front patch of grass got burnt possibly due to the uneven spread of the fertilizer, which now looks sadder than it did before.Overall a good product, but a poor applicator - do it by hand for a better result!

This is very easy to use, I especially like the way you can use this directly from the box thanks to the special cuts on the side.The lawn feed is unlike my regular “weed and feed” in so much as it lacks that horrible pungent smell, it also hasn’t scorched my lawn which always seems to happen , no matter how careful i am when I use weed and feed.after around an hour of laying this down and watering it in I can already the moss in my lawn turning black and dying, making it easy to rake out.It takes around a week for any real difference to be seen in the rest of the lawn and contains enough feed to keep grass well fed for around 8 weeks so I will update my review when it has had time to work its magic, but so far so good and I have been impressed with how it has dealt with the troublesome moss that lurks in the wetter areas of my lawn.Update after 10days.My lawn has had this on it for around ten days now, I have noticed a number of changes in it.Within an hour the moss in the wetter parts of the lawn turned black, this obviously didn’t look too pretty, but when I looked closely at these areas I could see that the actual grass that had been struggling to get through the moss was fine, just it was in patches with gaps between the clumps where the moss had completely stifled it.After 2/3 days my lawn looked decidedly sorry for itself and there were a few patches were the product seemed to have done more harm than good, but again when I looked closely this was down to the hidden moss /weeds there being killed.I did have a few bald patches but the rest of the grass really greened up.After ten days I have one muddy looking patch with a few patches of grass within it, these grasses patches are slowly getting thicker and looking better but because there was so much moss ( this are is in the shadow of my neighbours garage and is damp and in near constant shade) I have had to put down some seed here.There have been a few stubborn weeds that are still in the lawn, noticeable some clover that just refuses to budge. The dandelions have gone or at least have curled, dying leaves and are on their way out.

I've used a lot of lawn food over years, mostly granular, and they all work to an extent, apply too much and you can burn the grass, but my biggest problem is getting an even spread to then produce dark green growth which allows the lawn to thicken not just grow tall and need cutting 3 times a week.This product comes in a box with a rip off strip down the side to be used as stated by the manufacturers as a built in applicator. I used this and was happy not to have to find gloves to use my normal spray it around by hand technique. I have to say it didn't work for me, I snaked around, but there are clear gaps between my application rows. The treated areas are much darker and longer. But none of the grass was burned.I applied as directed not during the frosty period we had in early April. Instructions say to water in. So as it started to drizzle I rushed out and applied the fertiliser. This took only a few minutes, the pack is quite small. There was then several hours of solid rain- perfect. Claims an effect after 7 days, well after a warm and sunny Easter I could see a difference in 5 days- but this was perfect conditions, wet then warm. All the of grass has grown well during this period treated or not.There is no weed killer in the product. Manufacturers state naturally protects with healthy growth which is true to an extent, but after last years very dry period, dandelions are rife even in the thick grass and these are never smothered out on my patch by good grass. Product is supposed to last about 8 weeks, which is pretty normal for lawn food. Will edit the comment in a few weeks if it doesn't last, or goes on longer.For those who like the science the nitrogen, phosphorous, potassium (NPK) ratios are 7:3:10 with added magnesium and Iron.The product is to be used at 35g per square metre. The box is only to cover 80sqm. That's 10x8m a small lawn. It was never going to do all of ours I'd need at least 6 boxes this size. If a larger pack is available that may be the one to purchase.
