Liking it
This little unit seems very well made. Japanese manufacture, which is unusual these days when cheaper labor is available elsewhere in Asia. The two included patch cables were a cool bonus. Though I've never used the full-sized TS or its numerous clones and can't offer an informed comparison, I like the mini. It's pretty quiet when on and works well with my rig (JB Strat with Lace Sensors through a Fender HRDx). It's TS808 styling is a cool nod to the original unit. It seems to be well received by experienced full-size TS users who've reviewed it online tone-wise. The small "tone" and "level" pots are a bit hard to adjust accurately, partly because the pointers are nearly invisible to a blind geezer like me, so I took a toothpick and put some white paint in the recessed position marker slots on the mini pots. It was easy for me to wipe off most of the excess with a rag and clean out the slight smears of remaining paint in the grooved surface of the knob's barrel with a dry, used toothpick that was slightly feathered from use. The new white in the pots looks official, and now I can see the clock setting position of the mini pots a lot better. The mini's large "Overdrive" pot's knob is proud of the minis, so I can turn it (a bit awkwardly) with my foot. Be aware that the mini, like most other mini pedals, does not have a battery bay. Unlike my EHX Soul Food, it didn't come from the vendor with a power supply: you'll probably need to buy one if you don't already own a 9V pedal power source. I have a multi-port Power Station, so this was not an issue for me.

It’s a good little overdrive for the money , get the original
It is a tube screamer but if you want the overdriven tone the original had , I would recommend the original. My overdrive is used in almost all situations more so than reverb and delay , Even if others don’t recognize thatEffect , it’s always used even if it is barely turned up . Compression and other things that color tone are used so for me and what I play ( Primarily Rythm and blues ) and a little metal, it’s one of effects that I really use onEverything. That is why I I like the original Tube Screamer better . It doesn’t take up a lot of room , not only onThe pedal board, but also tone . Compare other reviews and think about your tone and consider whether you need the space on your board or a more overdriven sound.

Good things come in small packages
A classic in a small package! What's not to like?I have 3 boosters on my board, the TS9 is a must haveStacking it with another booster is common, it works. That simple, if you you're into different levels of overdrive; the TS9 is the original and the foundation of the contemporary tones we hearIt's a fantastic stand alone booster, there's a reason it's the most popular booster on the planet

A Must-Have
I consider it a must-have on any pedal board. In addition to it I have an MXR Distortion+, a DIgitech ToneDriver, and a Boss Blues Driver. The tube screamer has a certain nuance to it that I just cant get with the others. Just enough drive and fuzz. My favorite overdrive pedal I've ever owned. I play it through a Peavy Classic 30 Tube amp and the tone is top notch. There's a lot of debate over how close it sounds to the other tube screamers. I can't really speak on that as I haven't owned the others, but I wouldn't get hung up trying to decide between them. The mini sounds beautiful and its small size is a huge plus.

Perfect size perfect price
Awesome!! Great price! Going back I wouldn’t buy the full-size unless it were an original. This pedal is legit. Works well with most overdriven amps. Works well with analog Vox. Works especially well with Peavey 6505+!!

Great pedal and accessories
A must have for any pedal board. I use it primarily as a boost pedal and it works perfectly. Pair of complimentary connector cables is what attracted me to this seller. Very pleased with my purchase!

Great pedal, good price.
The tube screamer sounds amazing. If you are looking for the classic TS sound but trying to save space on your board, then this is the pedal you want. Also, if you're concerned about the money, it's worth every penny. I played my old TS and the mini side by side, and honestly I prefer the mini. It has a bit more of an overdriven tube amp sound as opposed to a pedal sound. Hope this helped.

Perfect for when you need to save space on the pedal board but don't want to give up that creamy Tube Screamer tone. Love this pedal!
