Heirloom English Shrub Roses, Live Own Root Plant, Golden Celebration®

The Rose is Gorgeous! I bought it as a gift for myself going through some tough times. I needed it badly! It arrived bold, no leaves, just like the seller warned us. For 3 weeks or longer it didn’t show any signs of growing into something healthy, I would say. But I gave it so much love since the day it arrived & planted some “friends” for her around my bold girl. 2 Months later, a miracle finally happened! First baby leaves, that bigger leaves, than buds. Everything started to happen quick. And 2 Months later it has lots of blooms & gorgeous roses! Give your new “friend” loves & it will show her love back!

I love Heirloom. I have ordered directly from them before, but I did not want to this time as they were not going to ship my bush out until August and I was eager to receive it. They send it and strip the leaves from it so it is not stressed. Within 1 day, there was new foliage and in less that 1 week it is has produced leaves and one new bud. I received other roses from reputable rose nurseries around the same time, but I have to say that Heirlooms is the healthiest. I will be buying all of my roses from them. They are pricier but worth it. The other bushes I received a year ago are doing quite well. They have been in containers, but I will be planted them in the ground this fall.

It arrived looking healthy and alive. Planted last fall. It has survived the cold and snowy winter and still has life in it. That says a lot. I don’t think that it has grown any taller, but it’s definitely alive. I hope to see a bloom or two soon or at least by next year.

I can’t review this rose yet because it is just now starting to leaf. It looks healthy but too soon to tell. Also it cost more at Amazon than it does on the David Austin website. I would have had to wait a season to order it from David Austin website. So one star for sending a healthy rose shrub.

Here are my first two blooms on this young plant. They don’t look anything like the photo. Perhaps the form will change as it matures, but it was disappointing. Still sweet little roses, but not heirloom quality at all. UPDATE: the second season produced yellow roses so beautiful I was speechless. David Austin must have whispered to them.

I’m so happy with my purchase, it is the prettiest Rose that I’ve ever seen, and the scent of it is heavenly, I live in a coastal area and the wind can be a little brutal on its frail tiny stems, but they are growing and getting stronger, one picture was when I planted it and the other photo with the roses bloomed out was taken 6 weeks later!!!
