What cartidge does this use? Could you name the exact product on amazon? "Kaweco cartridge short" and just "Kaweco Fountain Cartridge" are too large.

I took the single cartridge that came in the pen (without using it) to a local Staples store and compared it to what was there. I found two types that were compatible and I use them and they work fine. They are by Cross and the other is by Franklin Covey. Neither package had a 'model number' although the Cross one did have a small number 8920 printed on but I don't think is was a model number. The best way is to take the cartridge that came with the pen and visually compare to what is available--they are out there, but I would visually look rather than try to buy on-line. The only problem I found is that I can only get blue or black when I really want the old style blueblack (but that's just me).

does it need a converter to start writing?

You can use cartridges, converter, or optionally you can purchase fountain pen ink and fill the body of the pen with ink.

Mine pen came without ink cartridge?

Mine came with a cartridge stored inside the body. I can take a few taps to get it to fall out.
