Evidently everyone in England has an electric kettle, and I'll confess, I smirked when UK cousin suggested I get one too. I had no idea how much I would enjoy it. The color matches SS appliances in my kitchen. The base is small, but stable enough that I can keep it on a bakers rack, so it doesn't take up more counter space. It heats faster than a pan or kettle on the stove, so I guess it saves energy. Has auto shut off as soon as it starts to boil. Love it. (Thanks cuz!)

I love this electric teapot! It is the perfect size heats up very quickly. The temperature control is awesome. It's beautiful to look at in. The lid is a very good fit. Would definitely buy another one if this one broke down.

I have a friend who doesn't have a coffee pot. I can't imagine that, myself. However, she has an electric kettle and keeps an assortment of teas, hot chocolate mixes, and instant coffee available for her guests. There are many times that I want tea or coffee and don't have the need to make a full pot, so a kettle is a nice way to allow me to do that. Sure, I can heat water in the microwave, but that can be tedious, especially if you are making more than one cup. Yes, I'll admit it. I had kettle envy. So, I decided to start looking for a kettle of my own. I had a couple of requirements: I did not want a plastic kettle, it needed to have automatic shutoff, and it needed to heat water quickly. I came across this little guy and it fit the bill perfectly. All of my appliances are stainless or black, so this kettle looks nice on my counter, and is available to heat up water at any time. I have teenagers, so they are always using boiling water for soups and noodles and whatever else, and this works very well for that. I use it for tea, instant coffee, and to make coffee in my french press. It is so convenient! The water heats up so quickly, even faster than I expected. It doesn't make noise when the water is ready, but you can hear the water boiling, and you can hear the kettle making a click sound when the water is heated. I have owned several products from Hamilton Beach, and have always been pleased with them. I associate Hamilton Beach with quality, and this kettle does not disappoint. It feels very sturdy. Filled with water, it can have some weight to it, but it isn't too bad. It is about the same weight as a full pot of coffee. The outside of the kettle can get very hot, but the handle stays cool, which I like. I was pleasantly surprised at how long the water stayed warm afterward. My friend saw this on my counter and could not believe that I paid about the same amount for my kettle as she did for her plastic one. I guess now she has kettle envy! I imagine she will be purchasing this model very soon.

Better than I expected. I purchased it for an elderly person who enjoys making tea. But this way it doesn’t matter if they forget the water on the stove. Only warning I have is that the outside is very hot to the touch. You must use the handle. I ended up writing in a large Sharpie HOT on the outside. There has never been a problem.

We drink a lot of tea, and although my husband always heated the water in the microwave using a Pyrex glass measure, even our big 4 cup measure didn't hold enough water to completely fill the tea pot. I was looking for an old fashioned stove top tea kettle when I ran across this electric kettle. I wish I had bought one years ago! PROS: 1. This kettle is fast. Not quite as fast as heating water in a microwave, but close, and the water is always the right temperature for brewing tea without over boiling. 2. The kettle heats between 16 oz and 55 oz of water, so it is good for filling either a cup or two or an entire pot. 3. The kettle has an auto shut off, so it turns itself off as soon as the water is at the right temperature. 4. The big flip lid pops up with the push of a button which is conveniently located on the top. The wide opening makes it easy to fill the kettle and also to empty out extra water. We leave it open to let the inside of the kettle dry. 5. There are plastic windows on each side which are marked with different water levels making it easy to see how much to fill the kettle for the amount of water desired. 6. The kettle pours easily without drips. It is well balanced and easy to hold. 7. The kettle works with an electric cord, but the cord goes into the base and not into the kettle itself. Since the kettle is cordless, it is easy to pick up and carry wherever you want it. 8. The heating element is internal and the bottom of the kettle stays cool. That means it can be carried and set down anywhere. 9. The pot is stainless steel and black. It looks nice, and it has a small foot print on a kitchen counter. We leave it right next to our coffee maker in the "coffee station" in our kitchen where it is always convenient. CONS: 1. If you want a warmer to keep the water warm for a while after it is heated, this kettle does not have one. It shuts off automatically when the water is done heating. However, this isn't really a "con", because the water in the kettle does stay hot for a bit, and the lack of a warmer is offset by the fact that the bottom of the kettle stays cool and the kettle can be carried anywhere. 2. There is no audible alarm to let you know when the kettle is done. The on/off level does click a bit when the kettle shuts off, but it can be hard to hear the little click in a busy kitchen. However, you will hear the water starting to bubble as it nears a boil, and when it gets quieter, the water is about ready. Since it only takes 3 - 4 minutes to heat the water, and it stays hot in the kettle for a bit, this isn't much of a problem.

I’ve been using my Hamilton Beach Electric Tea Kettle every single day, and I honestly don’t know how I managed without it. It heats water incredibly fast, usually in just a couple of minutes, so I can make tea, coffee, or even rice without waiting around. The stainless-steel design looks sleek and it feels sturdy and well-made. One of the great features is the automatic shutoff. I never have to worry about forgetting on. The water level window is also super convenient, and the pour spout is designed so well that I never get spills or drips. It’s lightweight, easy to clean, and the base swivels, making it really simple to grab and go. For the price, the quality is amazing. Highly recommend!

I bought this 2 years ago & use it everyday. It is fast & dependable. I have had much more expensive kettles that did not perform any better. We are very happy with it.

I have been using this electric kettle for about a week now and I am quite amazed. There is a booklet that comes with the kettle and you can register it online. I highly recommend reading the pamphlet before use. The form factor of this kettle is actually quite sleek. It has an automatic shut off when the kettle gets to boiling. This kettle holds up to 1.7 l which is quite a bit. But the kettle is 1500 watts so the electric kettle heats up quite fast to a boiling and then shuts off by itself. This is a really nice feature to have. Since this electric kettle holds more water than I need for my tea. To reduce the risk of burning myself I recommend only filling the kettle up halfway. And leaving the lid open. I make sure to turn the kettle away from me just in case. I highly recommend this electric kettle.

Es muy buena, esa marca dura mucho tiempo, casi no tarda en calentar el agua, lo único que no me gusta es que a la hora de abrir la tapa te salpica agua, hazlo con cuidado solamente, de allí todo me encanta
