I like it – I just want one that works
I loved the LikeBook when it arrived and used it every day. Unfortunately, when it came in the mail it had some minor defects to the screen which I decided to just deal with as I didn't want to have to go through the return process. Now I wish I had because one-day last week, the tablet just refused to turn on at all no matter what I did. It was bricked and I have no idea why or how. I have now returned it and am still waiting on a refund so I can buy a new one that hopefully works this time.

Pretty but slow and lacking
Nice design of unit but slow response time with ghosting and lighting problems. Not intuitive. Also too heavy as an e-reader.

Excellent eReader and notebook
I have a Kindle Paperwhite, Nook and Kobo e-ink readers and although this one is pricey, it does SO much more. It can be so much more. I've been looking for something to help with my tired eyes looking at LCD screens all day. I also wanted to not have to carry my heavy iPad Pro just to take notes and do some light web browsing. This won't replace a multimedia tablet fully like an iPad but with the much larger screen and better lighting options (warm or cool), it will replace your Kindle. The beauty with this device is, if you want to read your Kindle books (I have Kindle Unlimited), just install the Amazon app. Same with whatever eBook store is your preference. If your local library has an app for eBooks, go ahead and install it and borrow the books that way. I sideload apps since the device only has 2GB of RAM so I don't use the Google Play services just to install apps. There is a little bit of a page turning lag when using the Kindle app but it does not bother me too much. My only complaint is it needs more RAM and I do wish it has a microSD slot for expandability (mind you 32GB is a TON of space) and a headphone jack. The speakers work fine but it's not a good replacement when you want to listen to personal audiobooks. Oh and one thing they did cheap out on is the Wifi chip. It does not do AC/G. So if you don't have an 802.11b channel, you'll have issues. One final thing that makes this a killer device for me, the ability to write notes using the stylus. It is almost lag-free and a joy to use. It really does feel like writing on paper, much better writing experience than using my iPad Pro.
