I operated the valve down to 10v and it worked fine YMMV.
Heavy well made valve, works well for water. It is directional so be careful to set up the flow direction.May not be readily apparent but this is a restricted flow valve. The passthrough orifice is 2.5mm. This was exactly what I wanted, but make sure it's what you need. With normal 80-100psi domestic water pressure you'll get about 1.5Gpm flow rate. The coil draws about 1amp at 12v....that's 12W, so it get's quite warm when activated for long periods, make sure you don't have it too enclosed.I operated the valve down to 10v and it worked fine YMMV.

Works great, not much I can say about it
Works great, not much I can say about it, other than it does what it's supposed to and was easy enough to hook up. It does get quite warm with a lot of cycling, but it's not really designed to be toggled off and on in rapid cycling fashion and I don't use it like that anyway. It's not enough to bother me. I use this in a coffee machine to facilitate a water refilling hard line, so it runs through a float valve inside the water reservoir. This is my second solenoid like this. The first one I had was sold under a different brand name, but was otherwise identical so I assume they're the same. That one failed after 2.5 years and started to allow a very tiny water trickle even when "closed". I'm hoping this one lasts longer, but I wont know that until or if it does. So far, for the cost, this was a good buy.

This is what I was looking for and based on ...
This is what I was looking for and based on the reviews thus the reason I ordered it. However, one thing that I found out about it, and I think some of the reported problems in the critical reviews, is the valve leaks. I found out the valve leaks when pressure on the outlet side is greater than the pressure of the inlet the valve will leak. Now, I don't know if this is normal behavior or a flaw in the valve.I am using two of these valves to inflate and deflate my air bags for towing. I have them connected on each side of a manifold with the inlet of the air bag between. So far it does well as long as there is equal or greater pressure on the inlet.

Good for intermittent use, but will fail prematurely in continuous duty applications.
I purchased this for the water supply to my whole house humidifier. It worked great at first, but in less than two months it burned out. Given how hot the coil runs, my guess is this thing is designed for intermittent use only (like an ice maker or fridge water dispenser). Running for many hours per day as is required for a humidifier application was too much for it. Purchasers should consider the application before purchasing. I am now looking for ways to get my money back so I can purchase a "continuous duty" version of this type of valve for my whole-home humidifier.

Leaked within 9 month 54 psi water pressure
Started to leak within 9 month, water pressure has always been consistent at 54 psi with pressure regulator. Previous one from a different brand lasted several years but unfortunately no longer available on Amazon any more.

Solid and well contructed
Well built and worth the money. If your using this type of solenoid being controlled by anything with transistors or IC chips remember to use a simple diode (1N4148) in the solenoid circuit. If not the voltage spike from the solenoid coil will be stepped up and will eventually fry your controller circuits like arduino.

3 solenoid coils failed within 6 months!
Installation was fine, basic.Very disappointed with product durability. 3 of the solenoid coils failed within 6 months! Not a quality product.

Strong and quick solenoid
Great valve, functions as anticipated. Good strong solenoid action, and seems to seal air well. It is directional, I did hook it up wrong first time by accident, and it leaked. Flipped it around, no prob.

Great
18 months on and still going strong! This turns on for half an hour a day to top up my aquarium
