This is literally what you pay $200 in salons for. I took some time to leave a review because I wanted to make sure it really did work. I've ordered the product twice and been using this for 1 year. My hair is long (just above buttocks), thick and naturally very curly. I used to pay salons every 6 months to get keratin treatment. This product has the same end result as salons, literally. It lasts about 3 months for my hair, does mildly reduce curls, but leaves hair super manageable, shiny and with way less frizz. Definitely recommend. The product comes with instructions that includes the address to a website which demos how to apply and use the product. I definitely recommend watching the video before using the product. I used safety masks, glasses, gloves and an open space to circulate the air because the product is very irritant to the eyes once you start blowdrying the hair. It also has a strong chemical scent, but after washing the hair as advised (2-3 days after) the scent goes away. The end result is excellent!

I usually do a keratin treatment once a year, before the humidity of summer sets in. But with covid, there was no way I was spending half a day in the salon. I was a little afraid of frying my hair, but there were so many great reviews, and I figured, who am I seeing these days anyway?! Well, it turned out great! I think it’s actually better than the last time I got a treatment, when my stylist was pregnant and used a less harsh version. Unfortunately, the harsh chemicals are what make it work! And although my arms and hands were dying from all the flat ironing, it was actually better than in the salon because I was able to ventilate better, so I had next to no burning eyes or nose. Took me about 4 hours start to finish. The one negative is that I did my root touch up a week later and it didn’t come out as good as usual. Maybe I needed to process longer? But I don’t mind, because my hair is so smooth and my drying time is so much shorter! The first picture is after the clarifying shampoo - granted there’s no conditioner and I did a rough blowdry, but you can see what I’m working with. Then the after picture - so smooth! And it still looks great a couple weeks in. And I only used about 1/3 of the bottle - so economical! Highly recommend!

I've had a professional keratin treatment in the salon and my hair was straight straight. Like out of the shower rough dry or air dry no flat iron needed straight straight. I followed the instructions with this product however I don't know if my hair dryer and flat iron get hot enough. Also my skills at flat ironing my short hair over and over especially in the back are definitely not the best. So my hair isn't pin straight but the curls are relaxed, blow drying takes less time and it's easier to get my hair smooth. I still use a flat iron on stubborn areas but not all over as I did before. The real test for me is humidity, will it remain straight? Humid days are coming and that question will be answered then. I am going to give the whole process one more try in a couple weeks and see if that improves the texture or perhaps my skills will improve. Final note: I did not experience any fumes or itchy watery eyes at all. I only saw steam during the flat ironing but it was not irritating what so ever. Hope this review helps out. Good luck. Final update:. I've used this 3 times now. It's not as strong as the professional treatment for sure. However it does relax my curls and makes it more humidity resistant but NOT humidity proof. On these 98 percent humidity days of June and July, nothing can help. I'm glad I tried the product and I can see it working well for someone that wants to smooth frizz or tame flyaways or someone that has maybe a wavy texture. For super curly or corse hair it might not produce the results you are looking for.

AMAZING PRODUCT, this has to be the best hair product Ive ever bought and used to straighten my own hair! A few things to consider: 1. You NEED to apply this product in a place well ventilated. The fumes are STRONG. 2. Use a plastic bowl to mix. It wont interfere with the formula. 3. You need a brush and a hair comb with separated teeth and PLEASE wear gloves, the formula is penetrating and creamy-sticky. These are ALL a must for the best results. 4. I used a Revlon One step hairdryer brush (any brand works) to finish the process and it made a world of difference in the straightening effect. This is totally up to you, but if you already have it, the better the end result will be. ***I watched the online tutorial as well as the YouTube tutorials and learned that I could leave the product on my hair for three days without any negative side effects. Leaving the product and restraightening my hair daily left me me with pinstraight hair.*** My hair looks and feels nourished, shiny, healthy & pinstraight. Hope this helps!

Not easy to use independently at home

My 11 year old's hair is extremely curly and she has terrible taking care of it. It would get in 1 huge deadlock by the end of the day. So I applied this product. It took about 2 hours for the entire process. I've never done it before, but it was easy enough to do. I waited a day to wash her hair after we were done. It was 100% less frizzy and 90% less curly. It's so easy for her to brush her hair, and she hasn't gotten huge knots in her hair since. I washed her hair with a clarifying shampoo (I didn't buy the special shampoo). Then I blow dried. Section hair out to at least 4 sections. Apply cream (I used half of the bottle because my daughter has very thick hair). Be sure to get it all through out your hair. You're going to want to be in a well ventilated area. Blow dry Flat iron at 450 degrees (at least 3 passes) but the more passes you make the straighter it'll be). Directions say to pass the iron until hair stops smoking (from heat on the cream) **You can wash your hair after a few hours, but I suggest waiting until the next day.

After reading a lot of good reviews on this product, I decided to give it a try. I followed the instructions perfectly. I washed my hair twice with the clarifying shampoo. I dried my hair completely. I applied the product and waited 90 minutes. The instructions are to blow dry your hair thoroughly with the product still in. Well, that was nearly impossible. The product has a greasy-type of texture, so it would not dry. I started this whole process at 8 am; by now, it was lunchtime. Since my hair would not dry, I ate and tried again after lunch. It worked a little better. Finally, I flat ironed small strands by small strands, going over each one about ten times. I have a large bathroom, but I was choking and crying from the fumes, so I wore a mask and goggles to finish. In the end, my hair looked straight but heavy and greasy. The following day, I went for a walk, and (the humidity is brutal in Florida), when I came home, I looked in the mirror, and the friz had returned. I re-flat ironed it, but a little later, I had to go outside for just a few minutes, and the friz returned again. So, not only is it a super long process, but it does not even work (well, not on my hair anyway.) I am Caucasian with light brown (usually straight, but frizzy when humid) hair. I hope this helps someone.

I was a little skeptical buying a keratin treatment as I had never even had one before, let alone done one myself. This product is AMAZING! I was really looking for frizz control and hoping to be able to wash, air dry, and go. Exactly what I got. The process is time consuming but knowing that going in helps. I have should length, fine hair and it took about 2.5 hours beginning to end. I was not rushing and did take a few breaks. Directions are clear and easy to read. Do this in a well ventilated area. I found a good back comb/pick was easier to evenly distribute the product than a color application brush. I even have a half bottle left. Not washing your hair for 3 days after was rough, but so worth it. Give this a try, you'll be glad you did.
