Purchased a few years ago. I use it often. Still operates like new. I like the turbo button for extra suction when needed. Works great for sucking up the occasional flying bug, especially wasps. Flap inside prevent bugs from escaping. Great little vac.

I recently picked up the Black & Decker Dustbuster and it’s quickly become one of my favorite tools for quick cleanups around the house and in the car. Here's a deeper dive: 🔹 What I Love: Impressive suction power for its size – It efficiently lifts crumbs, pet hair, and even spills like Cheerios, thanks to its cyclonic action. Lightweight and convenient – Weighing only about 2–3 pounds, it’s easy to grab and maneuver anywhere. Handy built-in tools – Includes a flip-up brush and sliding crevice tool—perfect for tight spots like car seats or keyboards. Transparent bin & washable filters – The bowl makes it easy to see when it needs emptying, and maintenance is simple. Solid battery life – It runs for around 10–11 minutes on a full charge, which is enough for quick jobs.

My last Dusbuster stopped holding a charge (as they do), so it was time for a replacement. I usually go for the lowest-priced model (since I seem to have to replace them anyway every 5-6 years), but for some reason this midrange model was priced competitively with the base models, so I figured I'd give it a shot. Overall, it does the job. I'm not exactly sure what the purpose of the two levels of suction is, and it's a little annoying when you have to tap the button twice to turn it off from the lower suction level. The biggest issue I have with Dusbuster is that each new model comes with a new charger that requires me to put new holes in my wall to mount. I really wish B&D would come up with a charging standard (or at least a charger mount with holes in the same places!) so I don't have to drill new holes every few years. The battery life of the new device is great -- it's lasted as long as I've needed it so far. We'll see how long that continues as they device ages (that seems to be the big question with Dusbusters). The suction is good (even on the lower setting). As someone who has long relied on a Dusbuster to do regular spot vacuuming around the house for decades, this one does the job as well as any I've had.

I love this little vacuum. I mounted it on the closet wall. It does a good job picking up my spills. I first mounted a 4 1/2 x 11 inch piece of 1/2 inch thick plywood to the drywall in the closet. Then I mounted the bracket that came with the vacuum to the plywood. This mounting method provides more strength compared to mounting the bracket directly to the drywall.

I didn’t think buying a new handheld vac would become so difficult. I had a Dyson handheld that is no longer made. It died after 10 years. Which sent me on a search, more of a crusade. I seriously bought and returned at least 10 handheld vacuums from Amazon. Too flimsy was the most common complaint. I seem to be hard on stuff. I have broken every cuisinart appliance I have ever purchased. This black and decker was a keeper. Has adequate power, easy to recharge. Only drawback it slips on the charger, it could be guilty of the flimsy curse. i have a dog with a very strong wagger, he could knock this off the charger easily. But I store it at the end of my crafty credenza so it’s safe from the “destructor tail”. Plus as a crafter, I generate lots of little paper scraps, Tail Boyis an Aussie-Border collie mix with oodles of silky, long hair. This handheld helps suck all those fibers of joy. After an extensive search, this one was the Keeper.

Have had this for a couple years now. Suction is great. Easy to clean the baskets. Battery lasts for a good while, even at high speed. Extender is a nice feature. Lightweight but rugged.

I owned (what I thought was) an identical Black and Decker cordless handheld vacuum cleaner for about ten years. Its suction was great, the product was lightweight, and the dust collector was simple to dump out and clean. My only complaint was the bizarre power switch that requires two button presses to turn off, if the high-power mode is not needed for that particular cleanup. Should have been designed with a sliding power switch: center = off, bottom = regular power mode, up = high power mode. After literally hundreds of recharges, the battery finally stopped being able to recharge. I had gotten my money's worth, so the plan was to order an identical one. I ordered this one being that it appeared the same on the product page. There are distinct differences that I must report. It is a requirement of the new product that the wall mount cradle is hung and the vacuum mounted into it for battery recharges. My old one did not needs its wall mount cradle for this because the recharging cord plugged into the front of the product using a small adapter. See the photo. For the old one, I discarded the wall mount cradle as soon as the box arrived because inside the under-sink cabinet where I keep it, there is no need for a wall mount cradle. The old unit simply rested on its base, and the charging cord was plugged into the front. The new unit requires that it is positioned within the wall mount cradle in order to recharge. There is no adapter port in the product's front, like the old unit had. Cannot just rest the cradle on the cabinet floor because lifting out the vacuum requires holding onto the cradle. A bad design, not to give consumers a choice in this regard. So I had to mount the cradle onto the side wall of my under-sink cabinet, to hold it steady for when the vacuum was inserted or removed. Black and Decker provided two screws but astonishingly, they are the old-fashioned slotted variety that require a flat-tipped screwdriver. Everybody uses philips head screws home installations such as this, and the corresponding screwdrivers. Philips head screws are easier to use. Luckily for me, I have a box of screws of different diameters and lengths. I found two philips head screws that were perfect for mounting the cradle. See the photos. The next issue was the power plug. While it doesn't bother me because in my installation the plus is hidden from view (see photos), most people would have to plug it into a standard wall outlet. See how far it protrudes from the wall? Terrible design. The power cord should have terminated in a flat plug that is nearly flush against the wall. The AC converter component could be positioned within the cradle rather than as part of the plug. While a skilled handyperson could probably disassemble the cradle and conjure up this improvement, 99.99% of people don't have the required skills and tools (for example, a soldering iron). So we rely on the manufacturers to design and product products that are easy to use with flattering designs. Protruding plugs, the necessity to mount the cradle into a wall, the lack of a small circular front opening to insert the charging cord, slotted screws, and a bizarre power control, could all have been corrected by the Black and Decker design team before manufacturing this disappointing replacement to my previous excellent vacuum (excellent, except for the power control flaw).

I own several hand-held vacuums and I have two major requirements: 1. Strong suction 2. Easy to empty cup so I don't have to touch the dirt The Dustbuster meets my requirements. I also like that the filter is washable and that I can charge it by standing the charger on the floor without making holes in my walls to hang it. I appreciate the flexible design of this unit. One thing that I wish was different is that the vac extension is too wide to fit into the rails of the slider door. I've owned Dustbusters and similar hand held vacs since they first came out so my family calls me the Dustbuster Queen. I couldn't be without one, and we recently through our last piece of junk Shark away, which we had replaced a piece of junk Dirt Devil with a couple years ago, and bought this one (and the previous model) - well actually we bought 3 for home and office. And it's fantastic! I can't even begin to tell you how nice it is to have the extension - saved my poor back and it's thin enough to go into small spaces. The previous model to this one is good also, and has a brush attached, but I digress. Holds a charge much better than previous hand helds we've owned, 2 power controls - a terrific appliance for a reasonable cost.

I'm a tool freak and nothing bad to say about this tool period . People abuse handy vacs and use them as house vacs then moan about everything wrong about it Lol . Do not wash filters under water like they say unless stained from sucking wet . Suck them clean with big vac 💪. 968571 is the exact replacement filters , not a clone !
