Amazing at getting those old staples!
Used this awesome tool to remove all the old staples and nails from the previous 3 upholstery jobs, including all the rusty ones! the image shoes a small sampling of the pock marked mess from the previous jobs done to the chair. Thankfully this tool helped make short work of it. Be careful though, it is very sharp, so keep your hands behind the tool.

Makes pulling staples a breeze!
I've used this handy tool for several re-upholstery projects. This is the right tool for any reupholstery project you have that involves removing staples. It sure beats a knife or flathead screwdriver. This makes pulling the existing staples out of furniture very easy with minimal gouging of the wood underneath. I've used these to get the job done on a bedframe, dinner chairs, barstools, and most recently my car's center console/arm rest.

Best for Upholstery Staple Removal
This tool does the job. Recommended by numerous professional upholsterers everywhere and, after using it, I am thrilled. Super comfortable in the hand and extremely well made.

Not an upholstery pro, but the tool worked well enough for me
I bought this to use to remove about a million staples from my pool table that I re-clothed. This was my first foray into upholtstery and I started with a flat screwdriver that I ground sharp. That worked well enough but was hard/fatiguing.This tool was made for pulling staples and it did a good job. Many of the staples were sunk flush with the surrounding wood so I needed to "dig" them out. The sharp tip of this worked great for that!It was a bit shorted than I expected and was also straight - neither of these are complaints about the product as it has a very quality look and feel. If I had it to do again, I would have bought the same brand but got something with a longer handle and a 45-degree bend at the bottom.

Carpenter Novice
Trying to save money by taking on to reupholster my 6 dining room chairs, I was shocked at how many staples were embedded under each cushion. If it were not for this tool, there was no way the staples would be removed. This tool is a must-have. The reason I didn't give it 5 stars, was due to a little rust stain on the head of the tool. Perhaps moister entered the wrapping.

1 of the best pullers avail
Want a classic original tool that has been engineered specifically for upholsterers? This C. S. Osborn puller is one of my go to’s. The extremely sharp points allow the ability to dig under and remove the staple. The natural hand conforming handle fits perfectly in the palm or under your index finger to continuously work. Perhaps too good, I gave myself 2 blisters. The little versatile slots on the working end works awesome when grasping that broken staple out instead of having to switch tools. Which means no down time or a faster removal process.

Use it the right way, on edge
When I got it, there were no instructions, and I tried using it flat because it sort of looks like a staple. Then it occurred to me that no you have to use it on edge and it's actually two sided. Once you figure that out, it works like a charm, and I mean really works like a charm. Indispensable for the light upholstery work I do.

Brilliant Gadget!
The ease of using this tool is amazing, it works fantastic at removing bedded in staples. I have bought loads of cheap items to do this same job which were useless, but this just shows its well worth paying more to get something well made, sturdy and excellent at doing what its designed to do!

This was bought mainly to remove over 800 staples from a set of dining chairs. It is extremely solid, well-made and comfortable to use., and did the job perfectly. Note that it should be used on its edge, rather than flat like a screwdriver. Just work one of the points under the staple and pull or push the handle downwards to lift the staple. You can then catch the body of the staple in one of the small slots, and twist left and right to remove it completely..

Great staple remover
Used it to remove staples from 2 office chairs so far. First one went slow because I was afraid the pointy bits would brake off or get blunt but it did an excellent job, no hand blisters, minimum effort. Before this I used a fine flat head screwdriver to pick the staples another tool to lift them and pliers to completely remove them. So this one saves time and effort. Hope it lasts a very long time
