Mikasa Square Delray 16-Piece Bone China Dinnerware Set, Service for 4, White

I absolutely love the look and feel of this gorgeous Mikasa bone China. It is light weight and so easy to handle. The square shapes are so refreshing after so many years of round dishes. Looks great on the table and in the cabinets. I have had everyday China before and love its durability.

I purchased two sets of these dishes. After 40 years of using the same plain white round plates, I thought it was time for a change! They arrived ten days earlier than expected (!), and the packaging was superb. Everything in both sets arrived in perfect condition, which amazed and delighted me. The white plates are large, square, and have a raised lattice design around the beveled wide outer edge. They look terrific on my table, fit just right into my cupboard, and seem durable. They’re bone china, so they take a bit more gentle handling than our old Cafeware stoneware dishes did. The cups are a delight to hold in the hand, they hold 12 ounces, and because they’re good china, the mouth feel as you sip coffee from them is superb. I couldn’t be happier with my new dishes, and even my grumpy “what’s wrong with the old dishes anyway?” husband admits he really likes them. So what could be better?

I was unsure to order these with such mixed reviews.I am very happy I did. I ordered 2 sets /8 place settings.They are not heavy, not thick like pottery dishes and they do fit in my dishwasher just fine.No discolorations on the dishes.They feel like regular fine china dishes.I have not used them yet but am not worried at all.If they should show knife marks like many dishes do, they are easily removed with a cleanser like soft scrub.Order them and enjoy.

Beautiful and it arrived in excellent condition. I like that it’s light weight and white, not cream.

we bought these 3 years ago but didn’t thought about giving our review. but my wife keeps reminding me how difficult to remove the coffee stain in the mug. We use different types of cleaning solution but it doesn’t work. The sad thing is we bought these products for our new house. We moved 2022 and that’s when we started using it. But know we are replacing our set because of this cleaning issues. We are not happy.

I love this dinner ware set. It’s elegant but unpretentious. I love the square dishes and the trellis design gives it a special simple clean look. It’s also light weight which I was looking for. I also feel your coffee and food will keep their heat much better too.

Overall, they look nice, but there are some imperfections. Not the same level of quality or quality control that they were when they were made in Japan compared to being made in China now.
