Betty Crocker Bisquick Pancake & Baking Mix, Low Fat, Heart Smart, 40 oz

Had to order on here because my local grocery store only had expired product. The product i ordered from here was in date and came quickly. Tastes just as good as normal pancakes. Good lower fat content. Good alternative for people with gallbladder and pancreas issues.

I purchased this heart healthy Bisquick mix to make pancakes. In more than 50 years I can't make pancakes, so I gave this a try. The directions were easy, they have directions on the back for pancakes and for waffles, I chose the pancake recipe, it says it makes 14 pancakes. As I stated, I can't make pancakes, this time was no exception, I guess I used too much batter because it only made 8 pancakes and they were really thick, but they cooked up great, not burned, and cooked through. I served them with syrup, and they were delicious! I put the leftover ones in the fridge. My nephew came over, saw the large, thick pancakes and was excited because he thought I made black and white cookies and offered to ice them. I gave him a tub of chocolate icing and a tub of vanilla and he iced the cold pancakes. They held up great to his icing, and everyone loved the black and white cookies, said they were better than the bakery! So now I have heart healthy pancake mix, waffle mix, cookie mix, and strawberry shortcake mix all in one! Quick and easy! All cook up nicely in the pan, I serve pancakes for breakfast and use the leftovers for black and white cookies or I add strawberries and cream for a layered strawberry shortcake. This mix has made cooking easier and it's heart healthy and delicious! I will definitely buy it again!

My pancake mix includes 1 & 1/2 cups of this product, a 1/2 cup of finely grained white corn meal, 2oz of Canola oil, a fresh egg, & 1 &1/2 cups of grade A fresh milk. Whisk strongly for 2 minutes, set aside in an enclosed plastic bowl then in the morning, spoon out 3 tablespoons onto a hot skillet, turn a couple of times until done. Serve it out w/ a small buttering & some no sugar syrup. It’ll wake your old ass up! It’s really delicious.

Cant get this in my local store so thought I would give it a try. Its a bit differnt, dryer than my regular bisquick but seems to work as good. Bisquick is so versitile, there are cook books out there and even many tasty recipes on their website, give this a try.

Bisquick arrived in a timely manner

For some unknown reason, this very useful product that I had used for years simply disappeared from the grocery shelf. I like the Heart Healthy version of Bisquick better than the yellow box version because it allows me to have better control over the fat content, and I think it even tastes better. The biscuit dough recipe on the box with added spices like cinnamon and nutmeg, a little added sugar and salt, and some melted butter makes wonderful steamed peach dumplings. I was happy to find this product available at Amazon and have made repeated purchases.
