Wella Blonder Permanent Liquid Toner - Pale Platinum 2oz

It made my hair lighter faster than the t18.

I haven't colored my hair myself for over 20 years. But, as many others did this past year, I had no option but to do my own hair. I had a bit of initial trial and error. I have a natural dark blonde/light brown hair and I usually can get away with professional salon foils to lighten. I had so much root growth that I knew I couldn't attempt that on my own, so I had to do an all-over color. I had a few attempts because no matter what I did, my roots were still brassy orange. I added a few of my own foil highlights which really helped get rid of the solid orange tone at the base, but was left with a brassy combo of level 8, 9 and 10. I used this toner in hopes it would at least take some of the brassiness out. I opted not to use the brass kicker as many of the reviews indicated it left hair very ashy, and I didn't want that. I decided on the platinum, and I am really glad I did. I mixed 1 oz to 2 oz 20V, and left half for when I need it next. With application time, I left it on for a total of 25 minutes. I could tell it deepened the color, but once dry it was a very pretty color- I would say it is more of a beige blonde, but it nearly completely got rid of the brassy color! I am looking forward to seeing how it looks in a week or so.

I've used many toners and this is the only that will remove all the brass and turn my my bleached hair white. My hair is naturally white on the sides and salt n pepper on top. I use frosting bleach to take it to pale yellow then Blondor the next day to go all the way white.

This would already be a cult classic like Colorcharm T18 if it was available to consumers. This line of toners by Wella is the best I’ve used in 6 years of bleaching my dark brown hair to platinum blonde. I’ve used everything from Goldwell to Schwarzkopf to Shades EQ. Wella colorcharm was consistently better. The only problem was that T18 over deposits easily on light porous blonde. It’s also a little harsh. When Wella released this pale platinum I ordered right away. The promise that it won’t overtone was spot on. I applied with Wella 20 vol developer and did a brush and bowl onto dry hair. It went deep purple but I decided to trust the process. I only did 15 minutes then as I rinsed this beautiful bright blonde emerged. No purple. Just cool toned blonde perfectly platinum. Ashy but still clean blonde -no grey. Immaculate results. I went ahead and ordered a few more so that I can always have it on hand. It also lasts through weeks of washing unlike T18 which can wash out after just a few. This product was also gentle on my hair. It didn’t feel rough after application. I toned then after rinsing with warm water I put Olaplex 3 on for 10 mins then washed and deep conditioned. My blonde is so shiny like it has never been. It actually reflects light beautifully and this toner is the only change in my blonde routine so I give full credit. I should also add this pale platinum toner will NOT tone darker gold or orange hair. It’s meant for hair lightened to pale yellow or white/ level 10.

My hair is a natural dirty blonde and I wanted to go platinum blonde. After bleaching it was quite yellow, I used another toner because I'm impatient and didn't want to wait for this one to come in the mail. Big mistake! After toneing my hair was still yellow. I read the reviews and decided I would give this one a try. I used 20 volume developer and let it sit for 30 minutes per the instructions. Now my hair is finally PLATINUM! So happy with the results! Highly highly recommended!

I got the brass kicker the first time and after 1 use it got that pink copper tone out of my hair. I had previously been coloring my hair with red for over 13 years and needed a big change. I bleached my hair a total of 3 times and used the brass kicker and it turned out ok but not what I wanted. When that faded I did a quick bleach bath on my roots and used the pale platinum and it was exactly what I wanted. I didn't use another toner with it like suggested. I used just this product with 20 volume developer and left it on for 30 minutes.

Ok the before picture wasn't in good light and I've got my glasses on my head but you can see the root regrowth and the yellow-ness of the color of the longer strands. I wanted to get an all over blonde again but I wanted a more silver platinum hue instead of the goldy yellow tones. I bleached my roots to a very, very PALE yellow like the longer strands and then went in with the Blondor Pale Platinum one part toner to two parts 20 volume developer and a small amount of the Brass Kicker and left it in for 10 minutes. I think the results are awesome.

I wish I would have taken before pictures. My hair was very brassy. I had it highlighted about 5 months ago. I get it highlighted about 1-2x a year. My natural color is a golden blond so I just use a toner periodically to get rid of the brassy tones. I used the pale platinum with a 20v developer for 25 mins. It does lighten your hair a tad as well as tone it. It left my hair bright without looking too silver how some toners can. I love how it came out!
