The unit is fairly straight forward, on some phones better than others, took 5 mins to setup on my phone, but installed this for a friend and took me around 40 mins, it just kept failing on network on his phone.What you need to do is start by resetting the controller.Power off, Wait 3 secs then power on and off 3 times with around 2 second spacing between the on and off, then power back on for fourth time.select add device.Search and find LEDxxxxxxxxxx and connect 'as a network'go back and it will then search for 'another network' connect to your home onetype in network password and hopefully it should connect.if fails start from beginning.Did have to do this 3 times tom finally connect on my friends, no idea why kept failing but you need to restart from beginning there is no way round.But once up works great.Ratings queryadhesion? there's nothing sticky?

I struggled for over an hour using these reviews, the booklet and online help forums to try and connect to the magic home app. It turns out I did in fact need a reset but they provide a pin and you simply need to push it into the RST hole...this is reset 🤦‍♀️. Could have saved myself so much time but a fantastic piece of kit now it's working

Easy to setup, and works well with app on your phone.

I'm probably going to return these. Bought two to drive some LED strips I have installed under some benches. They set up ok, I can control them via my phone connected to the same wifi - but they simply will NOT connect to the Magic Home server - so they they cannot be controlled by Alexa or my phone on another wifi for example. I have spent quite some time trying to find a resolution on the internet - plenty of people have had similar problems. One suggestion was an incompatibility with my T-Link wifi mesh - but I tried using two other wifi networks - no joy. Another suggestion is to disable mobile data on your phone whilst setting them up - no joy either. Very little documentation online or with the devices - they don't even seem to have a brand name. Will try another model and if that works I'll be returning both of these.

Does what it says on the box, easy to set up

I had high hopes but no matter what I tried my Android phone would not connect to it.I'd followed all the instructions including 2.4GHz wifi settings etc but nothing worked.I've sent it back and opted for a simpler smart wifi plug to control it instead. Shame as I can't then control colour or brightness. Thankfully I only wanted warm white for some under cabinet lighting.
