A solution to bulky holsters; The best way to conceal carry!
The Smith & Wesson Bodyguard has quickly become my favorite carry gun. It is compact, and still has a reasonable caliber that I’m comfortable carrying for my protection. However, no matter how small your firearm is, a bulky holster makes carrying it a nuisance, especially if you’re a smaller guy like myself. With this clip, you no longer have to worry about bulky holsters getting in the way, or potentially exposing your firearm. I know when I wear t-shirts in the summer, my firearm is usually exposed. Not being from a southern state, some people might be alarmed by this, which is why I chose to purchase this clip. With that being said, I prefer to carry my firearm at a 6 o’clock position, and with this clip it is barely noticeable. Not the same case with a holster!Installing this clip was easy enough. All of the tools you will need are included, with the exception of a small hammer or mallet that you’ll need to pop out the pin as shown in the instructions. One IMPORTANT thing I should point out is when you pop out the pin, the tool that you use to do this with is REPLACING the pin that comes in the bodyguard. The inside is threaded, which will hold the screw to attach your clip to your gun.Make sure you hammer it in from the LEFT hand side (the side that has the safety). I feel like mentioning this is important because the instructions say ”tap out pin from the right side” which can be confusing. I’m not sure if this is a typo or not, but it is poorly worded in my opinion. Not the end of the world though.Overall, this is a really cool product. Holsters are good for some people, but if you’re on the smaller side like me, or find regular holsters bulky, I think you’ll definitely enjoy this clip!I did have a bit of trouble installing this clip (took about 15 minutes), so if you have any questions, let me know, and I'll do my best to answer in a timely manner.

Great addition to your Bodyguard 380
This is a great product. It fits perfect and the gun looks like it came from the factory with it installed. The directions could be better, but if you are mechanical it shouldn't be an issue. If you don't have much mechanical experience it would be best to have your local gun shop install it for you.The package comes with the clip, the replacement pin the clip attatches to, two screws, a hex key, and a paper backing with the directions printed on it. The directions state to use a punch and mallet to remove the original pin from the rear of the gun, but doesn't say what size you need. I found that a 1/8" punch worked beautifully. I spun the end of the punch against a piece of fine sandpaper to break the edge and give it a little taper. A small ball peen hammer or light mallet is all that's needed to push out the original pin. Push it out from the right side of the gun, then place the threaded end of the replacement pin against the taper you sanded in the punch and press it back through the pin hole from the left side. Do not force it through! There is plenty of room for it if everything is lined up properly. I found that getting the replacement pin through the right side of the gun required some downward pressure on the slide to line everything up.Once the pin is installed you are ready to install the clip and the screw holding it down. Apply a dab of blue medium strength Locktite to the threads of the screw before you install the clip. Don't use anything stronger than medium strength or you will never get the screw out again. On my clip, I noticed that the hole was off just a little bit when placed flat against the right side of the gun. Don't try to force the screw into the pin if you encounter this. It's not worth cross-threading it and ruining both the screw and new pin. Instead, move the clip away from the side of the gun until you can line up the screw with the hole in the pin. . Install the screw using the supplied hex key. As you thread the screw into the pin it will pull the clip into place. Once the screw is tight you are done! Don't try to crank down or over tighten the screw, it's small and the hex key used to install it is very small. You just need it tight enough that it doesn't move around, the Locktite is there to keep it from coming apart. The clip works great and holds the gun low. If you carry it inside the waist band with a tee-shirt over it you can't tell it's there at all. In a pocket you can see the back of the slide and grip, but it sits comfortably and feels secure. It also fits in most soft holsters with the clip attached, if you needed to use one.
