The MD Intimate Fresh serum for personal hygiene is designed to help keep personal areas fresh all day even during workouts and high activity. The serum is a thick gel that coats the area. I find that this product is not as easy to use and not as comfortable as other products that are similiar. This is designed to be used after showering. There are some products available that are designed to prolong freshness but also replenish and clean. There is peppermint oil in this gel and it can easily be felt. If you have any sensitivities, I recommend using caution with this serum as it could be agitating. The gel is wet and coats the area. Even with a small amount, the product is slow to dry. This may sound beneficial for some people but it also coats the area making removal difficult. The product is a little too messy for my preference and actually makes me feel less fresh because it is hard to remove. The peppermint oil is also a bit uncomfortable.

I love glycerin for my face at night due to it being so natural and hydrating. However, the ingredient is terribly sticky. After showering I want to apply something that will help keep me dry AND deodorizer the area. This adds a sticky later that causes my undies to stick to my skin after applying so I am constantly picking at myself in a very unflattering way. Fast forward a few hours to when I work out - this does zero to help keep you dry. I sweat like crazy and smell with or without this. Then it is shower time in which I shave. Peppermint oil is no friend of fresh shaven skin. And of course, while sweating throughout the day the peppermint oil does get on other areas in which you did not intend it to be... Peppermint oil near a vagina is crazy. I am sure the makers of this had good intentions and it must work for them, but not for me. Also, it is CRAZY expensive. I much prefer my $3 can of intimate deodorant spray. This is not for me.

I like this, and I find it does what it's supposed to. It has a pleasant peppermint smell that fades fairly quickly, and I feel clean and fresh all day. My one issue is that it needs to be used after a shower on completely dry skin. This is pretty inconvenient, because that part of a woman's body is tucked away and dries slowly. I've found that it's faster if I use a portable fan to dry off, but that's a relatively time consuming process, not very elegant, and slows down my morning routine. The product needs to be applied twice a day, so a second shower and drying session is needed for nighttime protection. For those of you with active sex lives, please note that nothing is said about taste or the safety of ingestion.

I've been battling recurrent BV (bacterial vaginosis) for years. For a long time, a topical fungicide with miconazole completely controlled both the discomfort and odor associated with BV, but eventually my body became inured to its effects. I recently started using boric acid suppositories, which seem to work pretty well but was hoping to combine them with an external topical ointment or powder. I opted to try this even though the ingredients are not listed anywhere on the Amazon product page. To my surprise, when the tube arrived, I saw that it states right on the front, "Natural Peppermint." Weird, huh? In addition to peppermint oil, the main active ingredient is purified silver. Not sure what that does and it probably merits more research, but in the meanwhile, I just gave it a go. Does it work? So far, so good. I don't think it's simply masking any odor, but actually seems to have some sort of deodorizing effect. Honestly, I doubt this would be completely effective on its own, but combined with twice weekly boric acid suppository treatments, it seems to be doing the trick.

Smells nice. Has a light peppermint scent. Only a very small amount is needed (just a dot) for an all-day-fresh feeling. I haven't been using this long, but I use such a small bit at a time that I can see that this tube will last 3 months (as stated on the label). This really works. I didn't have burning as some reviewers have stated (I think they may have used too much?). I didn't feel sticky or tacky (again, too much product, maybe?). I took off one star for the high price. This keeps me feeling fresh and clean.
