Love this lamp. Tried it initially with a candle and the result was very underwhelming. Popped an led strip in there and it looks much nicer. I'd say a little set of fairy lights would work too. Its feels good quality and looks nice when off too

Great looking lamp that looks great with a candle inside. However there's a major design flaw in the base. The bung that seals the hole in the base sits proud of it, whichever way you insert it. It's also off centre. This coupled with the raised bung makes it impossible to centralise a candle without it being lopsided and falling over. Removing it isn't really an option as I don't want the risk of molten candle wax going everywhere. I'll have to find a shallow dish that'll fit to mitigate the risk.

This Moroccan lamp is excellent. It's tall enough to be impressive, and the opening at the top is easily large enough to put your hand in and put a candle or timer light. We didn't want a solar light as it's going in a gazebo, so this is perfect. Although you could fit a solar light in it and have the cable running out through the bottom if you want to. It's a very dark bronze on the outside, with a gold inside, so reflects light around inside. You could put a bulb up through the bottom and convert it to a table lamp, which I may do, as I'm getting a second one. One other thing: it would make an interesting storage container, as the hinged top makes it like a jar. It looks like iron, but it's quite lightweight; the wide base makes it feel sturdy and strong. It looks a lot heavier than it actually is.
