The waterproof material is a bit rigid and closing the bad takes a bit of an effort (as opposed to bags made of cotton fabric).Too early to attest the durability of the bag and how the rope loops hold up.

Use for swimming/gym

I took this to the beach everyday for 2 weeks and it worked very nicely. I have expected this to be a sub-par gym bag that's really only made to hold things with no durability in mind, but I was pleasantly surprised. The leather bottom on the outside made it perfect for the sand and at least gives the illusion of some protection. The inside has 2 regular pockets on one side and a zip-pocket on the other, the outside has a convenient zip pocket under your back. These came again as a nice surprise.The only reason I've marked this down a star is because the draw string straps aren't great. While yes, they were quite harsh on sun-burnt shoulders, it seems unfair to expect more. My main concern was the very awkward knot in the string. Essentially there are 2 string over each shoulder, and unless you tighten the bags main compartment by pulling perfectly even on both sides, the knot will slowly travel up 1 of the 2 strings on each shoulder, so until eventually 1 is way too short and 1 is way too long. I think something with a tension-lock adjuster (the classic rucksack should strap adjuster thing) would make this damn near perfect.

This bag is sturdy and looks good. There is a good pocket inside the bag to put valuables. Would buy again and recommend to others

Great for everyday use as well as my hockey bag (fan, not player!) to take my shirt, snacks and pucks to the rink.Waterproof when standing outside in the pissing rain too, which is a bonus.Recently discovered it is JUST about big enough to carry a 15.6” laptop too, although doesn’t close fully at the top - not an issue unless said rain appears…!Had my bag almost three years, would definitely buy again IF I needed to replace this one.
