Great for powering a dash cam.
I purchased a new Dash Cam to replace the one I had that stopped working. The old dash cam ran on micro USB and the new one runs off of mini USB. When I'd installed the old cam, I'd done a nice wiring job from my fuse panel to up my a-pillar and through my headliner to the middle of the windshield, and I didn't want to take my car apart to replace that wire with a wire with a slightly different connector, so I decided to just get this adapter instead. I don't use it for data, only power, but it works great for that purpose and I would recommend it to other people to resolve this same problem.

Super Useful Adapter...but add a hole for lanyard
I have a number of electronic devices (car GPSs, trail GPS, etc) that use the mini-USB plug. On the other hand, my cell phone and its charger uses the micro-USB plug. Since I always have the cell-phone charger along with me, I wanted a way to use it with my GPSs etc. The solution was to attach this adapter to the end of my cell phone charger cord so its always available to convert the charger for use with the mini-USB units. I just returned from vacation and used it extensively... works like a champ. Only problem is that the unit has no easy way of being attached to anything...so I drilled a VERY SMALL hole thru the side rubber and attached it with a small lanyard I took from another USB adapter (see attached photo). The manufacturer should add this attachment feature for those without precision drilling capability.

USB ID pin NOT wired
While this will work for most purposes, it will FAIL for anything that requires the ID pin (Pin 4 of mini/micro USB) to be wired in any way.I have a device that requires a nonstandard value on the ID pin for special functions. Unfortunately, while it is possible to find MicroUSB male breakout boards from vendors such as Sparkfun, you can't find MiniUSB male breakouts. So I ordered this to use with one of my stock of MicroUSB male breakouts.Well, there is no electrical conductivity between the MicroUSB port's ID pin and the MiniUSB port's ID pin with this adapter, so it behaves just like any other MiniUSB cable out there.Any mini-to-micro converter should be passing through ALL pins including ID.

Works well and seems well made
I have a mini keyboard/learning remote that I don't want to give up yet since it has been working so well for me over the last 5 years. Unfortunately it has an ancient mini USB charging port. I am trying to cut down on the charging cable mess I have so I decided to purchase a few short (1.5') micro USB cables with adapters (Lightning and mini USB). So far, all is working well ... I suppose I'll be doing this dance again in a year or so as I upgrade my devices and USB-C becomes more common than micro USB.So far this adapter seems to work well. Both ends have a solid fit so the cable won't wiggle loose and the adapter won't fall out of the device even if I pick it up to use it while charging. If it fails or if my opinion changes over the next 12 months, I will update my review.

well time marches on
well time marches on, more and more these days a lot of items that require a charge get it with a micro (not mini) USB ... well I have a lot of items that I like and want to keep and use require a mini USB these nifty adapters allow me to keep my older item that require mini USB and let me charge the with a micro USB cable, thus letting me keep my items longer (anyone remember analog telephones?) and helping me avoid the COST of buying something new just because I may have misplaced the charge cable. PLEASE see photos

Do you have more micro USB cables than mini USB devices? Get this.
Works very well. I have more micro USB cables than I do mini USB cables. Might as well put those micro USB cables to work instead of letting them sit unused. Micro USB cables, in terms of availability at stores (for emergency purchases) and from friends, are more ubiquitous anyway. The only gripe I have is that it tends to make the cable end stick out and put strain on the device's mini USB port, but that's easily rectified if you rest the adapter+cable end on something while the device charges/is plugged in. Resting the adapter on something also ensures that data transmitted isn't interrupted by a sudden disconnection. Rest it on a loop of the cable for instance.

I wish I knew these existed 5 years ago!
Like everyone else, I have only a few items that require USB-mini connection for charging (2 to be specific! - my bike light and my bluetooth GPS receiver.) And I can never find a USB-mini cable when I need one, because... well... who uses USB-mini? No oneFor whatever reason, I find it much easier to keep track of these adapters and find one when I need to charge a USB-mini device vs. looking for one of the 2 or 3 usb-mini cables I own but can never find! If you have USB-mini devices that you need to charge, pick up one of these adapters. You'll be glad you did.

Adaptor works
This adaptor is used to go from a micro USB to a mini USB. I initially bought this because I had a tablet case/keyboard ( Amtonseeshop(TM) New Fashion Hot Popular 7" Leather Stand Case with Micro USB Keyboard for 7" Inch Tablet Pc Pda(red) ) with a micro USB and a tablet with a mini USB port. Most devices now have the micro USB port because mini USB connections have been deprecated in favor of the smaller micro USB. In other words, it is recommended to avoid mini USB and instead use the micro USB standard whenever possible. Regarding the aforementioned case/keyboard, I could never get the keyboard to work. However, I have tested this adaptor with many other devices and it works fine. Bottom line, the adaptor works, but when possible buy devices using the micro USB standard.

Intriguing !
When Drake, the professional quarterback super star enlisted his elder twin brother Mike, who happens to be his agent,to woe a renown and highly respected goody good gal sports reporter Remy with a view of marriage as end game,it is intriguing, therefore, whether Mike could deliver as requested or would he picks up the 'ball' and runs with it ?? I've enjoyed some of the work by this author and this book has not fall short of my expectation of good plots....I was sent an advance review copy of Book One of Dare Me and have voluntarily submit my opinion here.

Worth reading!
A positively great read, one or two tiny mistakes but nothing that would really spoil your reading experience. Really like that both twins had affections for Remy long before meeting her and the complications that come with that. Poor Remy is in for a difficult journey

Loved it
I loved this book from start to finish, and can't wait to find out what happens next. Sure hope Remy and Mike find their happy ending.
