Okuma Azores Saltwater Aluminum Construction Corrosion Resistant Spinning Reel

this reel is built solid and its heavy. this would be perfect for huge fish paired with a 6'6" or 7' rod medium heavy fast action. i plan to load this up with a 40 lb monofilament and take it on a bluefishing or striper fishing. i had my penn slammer set up the same way and i pulled the fish towards me instead of the fish pulling me all around the boat using light tackle. the drag on this thing is smooth. anyway, if you want a reel that's light this is not for you. i have the 8000 so maybe if you're concerned with the weight i would go with the smaller sizes. for the price you're getting a nice reel that will last for a long time. the blue color is very nice too. this is probably one of the nicest reel in my collection.

this reel is a beast a ton of drag very powerful and fast retrieve you get a ton of value for your money with this reel, it is all metal so it has proven to be extremely durable and the blue color makes it look awesome, this is a heavy reel ment for big fish.

I believe it's a good product. I haven't used it yet. It was recommended by a friend who already owns one, and his opinion is that it's an excellent reel.

Nice sturdy corrosion resistant salt water reel with strong drag. Wish it had an anti-reverse switch.

I purchased a new Azure 4000 on 2/1/21 along with a matching Okuma 4 piece travel rod. I planned on using it on my Florida fishing trip to the keys 3/15/21. When I tried to put line on the reel i noticed it was bunching up on the front of the spool. I then found out the oscillating gear was broken on my brand new reel!! DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY ON THESE REELS!!!!!

Part fishing reel…part tank ! Easily the most heavily built and robust piece of equipment I own ! Fit and finish are excellent and the reel is smooth right out of the box. An interesting design feature is that the reel DOES NOT have an automatic bail trip mechanism when turning the handle. I was unaware that this is a design feature found only on premium heavy duty reels which is meant to prevent the bail from tripping prematurely under heavy casting load, thus saving expensive lures from breaking off and expensive rods from snapping. In fact, I have noticed on a number of videos, surf fishermen manually closing the bail on their reels after casting. Something I will have to get accustomed to but appreciative of the proper design and engineering. Haven’t tried it yet but will update the review after a few uses.

La verdad me anime por el precio solo que es un poco más pesado de lo pensado falta probarlo a ver que tal sale para pesca de orilla y les cuento. despues de probarlo si es algo pesado para pesca de orilla es bueno pero creo que hay mas lijeros
