Step 1 :Choose a dark place. A darker room will help show the better result. Press the button on the bottom of the device to turn on the infrared LED. Step 2 :Press the flashlight gently on the skin and slowly move it from one side of the skin to the other. You will find that veins will appear as shadows or dark lines near the flashlight. (Note: The device must touch the skin when looking for veins. Taking light far away from the skin will not show anything.) Step 3 :Once the vein is found (dark shadows/lines), remove the infrared light slightly around the area to get the best visuals. If the vein is very light and unclear, the light source may need to be moved further because it may be too bright to cover the vein.
