I received almost all raw kernels. It looked so good that I decided to try it myself. And no, it is not my habit to eat animal food. It’s pure with no smell, is nutritious and has a great flavor. Great price point for the quality and amount you get.

My feeder sits in the middle of my deck so the squirrels can’t get to it so it’s imperative the area stays clean. I feed in a mesh feeder so it doesn’t get moldy. The birds eat it all every day!

It’s mostly “chips“ which are broken sunflower hulls and I would prefer to spend a little more and get all whole kernels. It’s a little more messy this way and I buy everything shelled for my outdoor birds to avoid as much mess as possible.

I was getting tired of having to sweep the porch at night so my landlord wouldn't see sunflower husks all over the place when he walked by in the morning. I have a small two tiered outdoor table about 24 inches tall. I put seed in clear plastic plates that are intended for catching water under the potted plants. It was hilarious the first time I put this product out. Birds, squirrels and chipmunks hadn't been offered hulless sunflower seeds before. Their body language expressed skepticism, then sheer delight at having such an easy to eat meal. I did it mainly for the entertainment of my senior cat. She loved watching the squirrels and chipmunks, but they didn't come by very often. With this set up, we have nonstop action. And in the afternoon a family of cardinals stops by. And there's nothing to clean up. Anything that hits the deck gets eaten, too. Yes, it costs more than the blends, but it's all edible, no filler that goes uneaten, and no clean up. I figure it averages out to be close to equal.

Perfect for all my finches, even have a red belly hanging upside down to eat. Will be buying more.

Has attracted a lot of birds and my squirrels don’t make a mess. I only give wild squirrels these and unshelled peanuts now and they don’t leave behind any mess.
