Comfort Cool Wrist Brace with Thumb Support - Black, Right Hand, Large | Breathable Wrist Splint with CMC Thumb Joint Stabilizer for de Quervains Tenosynovitis, Arthritis & Tendinitis Relief

I ordered this brace because I already had the shorter, wrist-length version from Comfort Cool, and was very happy with it. I have recuperated from the carpal tunnel surgery that resulted in use of the shorter brace, but now I had a FALL, landed on my right hand, and need something again that will brace my thumb, increase wrist support and go a bit a bit longer on my arm. This neoprene brace is comfortable and adjusts to feel secure, but it does not get too tight or too hot. I have tried 4 or 5 different types (again) and appreciate this one for the security and fit. Unless your doctor or OT are requiring a brace with metal splints inside, I really recommend this one.

I'm older and do a lot with my hands. Keyboarding, cooking, knitting, gardening, weaving. Carpel tunnel was apparent, though not too bad. I'd expected it as I've had two surgeries on my right wrist/hand. I have the smaller one of these braces and I like it. However, it isn't long enough to give my joints a rest at night.I decided to order this one (without the stabilizing inserts). I just love it. It's long enough to immobilize the wrist/hand yet isn't stiff and confining. It's cool, flexible if you need to move your thumb, and very comfortable all night long. And - it's adjustable and comfortable.It's a bit confusing to put on your wrist the first time. Just learn it how to do it and you should be happy.

I appreciate that this brand is trying to make one splint to serve the purposes of supporting both the wrist and CMC joint. It is a high quality splint, with a great balance of support, but still allows me to function and use my hand.The problem for me was the fit. This version fit my wrist well, but was too large on my hand and thumb, so it didn't properly support my CMC joint. The smaller version of this splint supported my thumb well, but was much too tight on my wrist.I do highly recommend this brace, if you can get it to fit your particular hand, because it is great quality.

I am so happy I bought this. I have DeQuervain Tendinitis and was prescribed a brace by my doctor. However, the brace ended at the base of my hand and didn't offer any support for my wrist. Also, the skin between my thumb and hand was rubbed raw by the strap so I had to wear a glove under the brace. This brace is much more comfortable and supports my wrist.

I have worn this brand for the last 20 years and they holdup great. I replace the brace about every 2 years with daily use.

I have arthritis in both my thumbs with much pain. I bought Comfort Cool Thumb CMC Restriction Splints for right and left thumbs. The left has been fine. However, the velcro strip for attaching the end of the strap was defective and would not hold the strap in place. I bought a second right-hand splint and after wearing it a few times, the end of the strap separated when I tried to unfasten it. I got a replacement of a third right-hand splint, and after wearing it three times, the end of the strap also separated. I reported it, and am to receive a refund to my account. I don't know why the right-hand splint was defective but the left-hand one still is in good shape. I plan to seek another company for a right-hand splint.

Allows for much more freedom of movement of fingers and thumb than some hard form models I have. I found the thumb piece to be too long and am going to trim it back, but that is fairly simple to fix. I can wear comfortably for a couple hours, but then find my skin gets somewhat irritated by the seams. I took to my physical rehab doc and he feels it is the right size, so I guess it is just how it lays on my skin. So I can wear on again off again only. Like all of these it's inconvenient taking on and off for dish washing, washing hands, etc. I like that it is soft and flexible though. And though I am not thrilled with it, I haven't found any I like better.
