All depends on placement ...
I've used these a bunch of times and I like them ... however ... my like for them certainly comes down to placement. Let me explain!These are designed to be hung on the side of your bowl so that when you flush it cleans and gives you a blast of scent. I find that if you hang it in that position is does almost nothing. The scent is VERY faint and that is with it being in the strongest water stream in the bowl as it flushes. It also has a nasty habit of "melting" after a few days and leaving a streak as the water flows past it. NO STAIN and it EASILY is wiped off!To rectify my problems I place it IN the tank. When I flush I see a few soap suds and the scent is where I would like it to be ... the problem is that these little things SEEM to be a glorified bar of soap and when you leave them to sit in water they just melt away in a few days ... but for those few days it really works well.I like them and I use them sparingly but I always put them in the tank. They are relatively inexpensive as of this review and there are two in a package so you could try the manufacturer's recommendation and then mine just to see the difference ... Very strong scent
This scent is way too strong. It keeps me nauseated. It is a very floral scent. Unfortunately I had to throw it away.

Last long, works well and smells great
Last a long time, works well and cleans the toilet bowl well so I don’t have to do the work by hand. It also smells great, so my bathroom smells fresh all the time. Bought another one.
