OregonTechni Blade 525244 Precut Serrated Heavy Duty Trimmer line for Brambles and Undergrowth, Red, 7.0 mm x 26 cm

The jetfit head and techniblade line are amazing, for brambles the red 7 mm is recommended. But for grass I reccomend the green 5 mm techniblade line pieces. If the head jambs up and you cant get the old piece of line out the head, then I've found a trick, and that is to carry a large long nose pliers in your pocket for pulling it out. Also to stop it jambing up just pull against the ratchet system by grabbing the opposite end of the line (the side you push the line in through) with your pliers, remembering to leave 10mm or the thickness of your little finger out the opening where you remove spent line so you can get a purchase on it later with the pliers also Leaving 10 mm. This pulling will cause the pawls to bite the line and will eliminate the jambing up and stop the line disappearing inside the exit opening on the opposite side where your meant to remove spent pieces of line during mowing or clearing as if you don't do this the line will shift inside these pawls causing it to jamb up and there you'll need to pull the head apart as a consequence. I reccomend a 2.3 hp or greater for the 7 mm techniblade and 4 line jet fit head. And that you keep the sponge wet inside the tubular pack the lines arrive in and closing the lid this makes them last longer. If you have machine of 41.5cc or greater say stihl vs 240/ fs 250 or shindaiwa b450 then four 5mm green techniblade lines will be fine for grass as they won't slow the machine down so easily and won' simply fold the grass unlike 7mm techniblade does. 7mm is for brambles. This line is good because it last for ages and shreds grass clippings and bramble and will even cut small hawthorn branches.Hope this review helps anyone wanting to purchase this product or anyone who has it already.

I purchased the complete kit including the head a few years back now and ran out of strimmer wire and didnt even know what it was called. Then found it again by pure chance recently.For a start you need a really powerful machine. The biggest of the brush cutters. Any smaller machine will not cope with this techni-blade and it will just slow the motor down.It will chop through thick briars and small twigs no problem but thick tall grass just falls down and slows the machine. So you have to cut in stages. Then it almost vapourises the stuff.Sometimes if it breaks off inside the head it can cause problems, but that's not often and caused by hitting sheep wire.Besides that it is great.UPDATE - September 2022Purchased more again. It is really good stuff and just smashes through the worst of green vegetation. Expensive but it does the job!

Eftersom jag känner till min skogliga tomt och kantängar väl, så kan jag ibland köra flera tankar utan att behöva byta tråd. Se till att trådändan sticker ut så att du kan dra för hand eller med tång när du behöver byta tråd, annars är det svårt att få tag i änden.
