The BBQ arrived well packaged in 2 separate boxes. (fairly heavy). Easy to follow instructions, for assembly. The bolts, washers, etc. came in a well marked packet to aid the build. Good quality compared to previously owned BBQ's.(particularly the tray for charcoal which is a thicker gauge steel than the surrounding body). I didn't rush when assembling and it took about an hour to do. Really pleased with the result. It is a good sturdy BBQ and easy to move around. The chrome effect handles and hooks give it a nice finish. I have yet to cook on it but don't envisage any problems. Really happy with the purchase and think it was good value.

Very good looking, large barbecue in which you can raise/lower the fire for optimum heat. Great for smoking whole legs of lamb, chickens, brisket etc. Assembly is easy but you need to borrow a child or small-handed person to insert the R-clips in the pins inside the assembly, it's a bit fiddly. Haven't had the paint-burning-off problem some have reported; this is the best value charcoal grill around.

Once assembled it's a monster, it can easily hold a fair amount of meat on just one side and then have a large frying pan on the other or just a huge amount of meat spread across the whole thing. The grills are also very heavy duty and will last forever. The ash tray is also very useful and makes emptying out the ash very simple. After you've finished bbqing, if you shut the lid it remains at about 200-250 for ages so you could easily cook lunch on the coals then once finished, shut the lid and use it as an oven to cook dinner. The side trays at first glance look like they'll come in lots of use but tend to go unused as the BBQ kicks out a lot of heat once in use so anything on them would probably get too hot. The hooks that attach to them however are a good idea as a place to hang utensils. The bottle opener is a nice touch but i rarely remember it is there and when i do it's at an angle where it spills beer everytime it's used. Assembling it wasn't the easiest task, i don't quite understand why tags aren't stuck to individual pieces to make them easier to identify. Also the instructions in places contradicts itself and as a result i had to take apart then redo certain parts. I don't really get why companies that sell a product anyone off the street will have to assemble don't get "test subjects" in to build a few to see where they will get stuck and improve the instructions in those places... Also washers would be a good idea with future models. It has two wheels on to allow you to move it around but it doesn't have a handle on the opposite side that would aid with lifting it to move which just seems a little odd. The ability to raise and lower the coals tray is useful but it'd be more useful if it could be raised another step for when the coals are dying down. The metal in some places is fairly thin (which is a shame considering the price tag) so after a few uses, said metal has started to bend and contort and the lid no longer correctly aligns when shut. Overall i'm glad i purchased this bbq, however they needed to do more testing with it to find the flaws which anyone who's used it more than once will inevitably find. With some parts of it being a tad flimsy too i really hope parts of it do not start to break within a few more uses.

Fantastic BBQ. Still going strong and easy to use. Smoker works very well. The temperature gauge is ideal if you want to be fussy with cooking temps. I would recommend this BBQ. you can get cheaper but be assured they wont be this quality

Best bbq I ever bought

The barbecue set looks and gives a feeling of much more expensive than it costs. It's well-designed and looks like a top-shelf product. It was quite awkward to build though, there is one moving part inside which was not preassembled correctly and it completely overgrew my technical abilities. Thank goodness my neighbour didn't have a problem with figuring out what to change to make it work. The base for the coal bent a bit after the first use, I achieved probably a slightly too big temperature inside, But it is not affecting the functionality of the grill. The thermometer got foggy too, hopefully when in use next time the moisture will steam out. Overall it is worth its money and I am looking forward to the proper barbecue season to start.

Bought to replace an ancient big barbeque that was slowly returning to Iron Oxide. Fairly easy to assemble, but I did have a bit of problem connecting up the variable height lever. I actually ended up disconnecting the fixed bit of the bracket (one of the first things fitted in the instructions), assembling the lifter, and then re-attaching the fixed bracket. But I am a lot less dexterous than I used to be, and may have been able to fit the bins if a little more flexible. The design seems to work reasonably, and the idea of lining the coal tray with aluminium file is great. We now also line the ash tray making the whole cleaning process very simple. We did take a little time to get the heat we required, as the coals (we use Briquettes) don't get as good air flow as our old rack based system. However this does mean the the coals last a lot longer. Closing the lid, and opening the air vents seem to work well for us. Strongly recommend buying the cover as well as the BBQ as this makes a very neat package when not in use.
