Rain-X 800002243 Glass Windshield Water Repellent Treatment, 7 Fl Oz

This stuff is awesome. I have used it for many years. It not only keeps rain from blurring your vision but , also makes bug and dirt removal much easier. It’s super easy to treat your windshield. Lasts me about 3 months.

This stuff works like magic. It completely transforms how your windshield handles water. Rain just flies right off the glass, making driving in bad weather significantly safer and less stressful. The 7 oz squeeze bottle is compact, easy to store in a garage cabinet or trunk detailing kit, and features a precise flip-cap nozzle that prevents spills. It gives you true commercial-grade water repellent performance for a fraction of the cost of premium ceramic coatings. Definite 5 stars.

Works as advertised. Very simple to install, just clean your windows as instructed.

7/2/14 Update - Definitely love rain-x! Extremely heavy rainfall tonight but I had great visibility when other cars were pulling over because it was just too heavy for their wipers. Watch it in action - http://youtu.be/k9vnBlsp5qg ***************** Overall I love this product and wish I had learned about it sooner! I've never used a windshield product like this before so I can't speak to how it compares to other similar products (if there are any). So far in the month or so that I've been using this: Works best when going 50 mph or above and/or with steady rainfall. It's great for highway driving (I commute an hr on a highway each way). Also works great if there's a sudden large splash on the windshield like from a large truck going through a puddle in the adjacent lane - much improved visibility compared to wipers at high speed! Of course, using wipers will make it so you have to reapply more often but Rain-X will improve the effectiveness of wipers when you do have to use them. Negative experiences so far: Does not work for me when going under about 50mph. At night with streetlights/etc. shining on the windshield in light rain - Tends to cause less visibility/glare from the rain droplets remaining on the windshield if not driving fast enough or no steady rainfall to cause beading. I end up using my wipers in this situation...I reapplied another coating and will see if it helps in this situation. I still haven't gotten down the best way to eliminate the residue completely immediately after applying a coating. I've just been living with it until the residue dissipates in a day or so. Maybe I'm just not wiping enough after the coating dries... Miscellaneous - the box says to store upright and you should heed that because it will leak from the tip if on its side.

Easy to use and works like a charm! I read some folks had trouble with the fog it left, a tiny spritz of water before polishing and it was super easy to remove. Love this, will continue to buy and use on all my cars.

Does it leave streaks on your windshield? •No permanent streaks, turns opaque ONLY when drying, and don't forget once it's dry to WIPE YOUR WINDSHIELD, this does not remove the product, only the residue. •(Note if you do not clean your windshield with water or windex before using this product, you will see some opaque effect that doesn't come off. This is an easy easy fix though, just clean it!) I did everything right, and there's still streaks?! 1) You didn't clean your windshield. 2) You forgot to wipe it off after it dries. 3) It was ridiculously cold out and you didn't heat up your car before starting. It's not repelling water, oh no! •You didn't put enough, you can tell by how much opaque appears on your windshield. Seeing the streaks/film after applying means you did it correctly. If you don't see much of anything, wipe off what streaks you see, and apply more generously. The water will "group up" when done correctly, and more will slide down than before. •Note this product does not make water jump off of your windshield, just changes the properties of the glass by making it HARDER for water to stick, not impossible. Window wipers are still necessary, these just make them less needed and improves overall visibility in rain. All in all, this product does work, and is not some scam and when applied properly does exactly what it's advertised to do. I don't know how to emphasize that 99% of the bad reviews here are people misusing the product. This stuff works and is completely clear. Car washes are buying rain-x and applying it to cars in the wash! It's legit, and much more concentrated in this bottle than in a car wash. I stand by this product 100%, it is actually amazing how much of a difference it makes.

So worth it, especially during the winter time

I've been using it for years and never been disappointed. Works really great

Produto muito bom.

As someone who spends a considerable amount of time on the road, I've always been on the lookout for products that can improve visibility and safety during adverse weather conditions. The Glass Treatment Rain Repellent has proven to be a game-changer in this regard, providing an effective solution for maintaining clear and streak-free glass surfaces even in heavy rain. One of the most impressive features of this rain repellent is its easy application process. With just a few simple steps, you can quickly treat your vehicle's windshield and windows, creating a hydrophobic barrier that repels water on contact. This not only improves visibility but also reduces the need for constant windshield wiper usage, resulting in a safer and more comfortable driving experience.I was pleasantly surprised by the effectiveness of the rain repellent during my testing. Even in torrential downpours, water beads effortlessly rolled off the treated glass surfaces, allowing for improved visibility and reduced glare. This was particularly noticeable at high speeds, where the repellent helped to maintain a clear line of sight, enhancing overall driving confidence.Another benefit of this rain repellent is its long-lasting formula. Unlike some other products on the market, which require frequent reapplication, the Glass Treatment Rain Repellent provides durable protection that lasts for weeks. This not only saves time and effort but also ensures consistent performance under varying weather conditions.Furthermore, I appreciated the versatility of this product, as it can be used on a variety of glass surfaces, including car windows, mirrors, and even shower doors. This makes it a practical investment for both automotive and household applications, providing value beyond just driving convenience. In conclusion, the Glass Treatment Rain Repellent is a highly effective solution for improving visibility and safety during rainy weather.
