Vekkia Lightweight Neck Reading Light - 3 Colors, 9 Brightness

It's perfect. Very bendable. Each end has its own power button so it has essentially 6 different levels of brightness, 3 levels on each end. Perfect for reading and everyday use. I loved it so much that I bought one for a friend as well. Holds charge for a long time and is quick to recharge. Great product!

This light is great for crocheting in the evening! I have excellent vision but I like to crochet while watching tv in the evening, when we keep the overhead lights in the room on dim. That’s fine for watching tv but not for close up multitasking. These light give just the right amount of brightness & sharpness for me to see my work very clearly, without distracting anyone next to me & it helps avoid a lot of eye strain. It feel like good build quality, like something you would get in a Sharper Image catalog. It really doesn’t feel cheap, like I was expecting. That impressed me. Also, I haven’t noticed that it gets warm, even after 3 hours of usage. It stays cool to the touch. I like that you can adjust the angle of both sides the way you need it and it’s long enough that it clears my umm, chest. The lights on each side work independently, which I though would be important, but it’s not really. I find that I prefer to keep them both on the same setting & on high. The low and medium are accurate brightness too, neither is too dim or too bright. The battery seems to last roughly 10 hours. I recharge them every 3-4 days and it works with any properly sized charger cable, not just the one that came with it. Its quite comfortable & lightweight to wear, the battery part is smooth against the back of my neck. I forget it’s there after a minute. My only minor negative, if you can even call it that, is that I don’t notice all 9 light settings. To me, it looks like 3: low, medium, high. I’m particular about color values and generally prefer neutral white light for task lighting so the differences must be pretty subtle if I don’t notice it. Since the left and right work independently, I’ve even tried to compare them against each other and I’m not noticing a color difference as I click thru the settings, just the difference in brightness. But it’s not a big deal, I’m very happy with the color. Its perfect. This light, in my opinion, was a very good buy, especially for the price. It was an impulse buy but it’s definitely been very useful and I’m sure it’s better for my eyes in the long run.

Very nice. Lightweight but lights are very bright if needed. Multiple modes are great.

Currently, I'm finishing some knitting projects for Christmas gifts. No spring chicken anymore, my eyes have difficulty with dark colors in not-so-bright light. These work great. The battery lasts at its brightest long enough for a sizable section to be done. Once it starts to dim, I know it's time to take a break before the arthritis sets in causing problems. I like that the lights have additional settings and can be aimed & adjusted in which ever direction you need: drape them around your neck, adjust and start in. I haven't tried them yet with crocheting and/or embroidery. They're upcoming projects - but they work great knitting black, navy and earth tones. Don't need them as much on pastels, Using fine double-point or circular needles the light is exactly where you need the extra boost. Only one small complaint - I wish they could be about 4" longer from tip to tip. Typical Grandma - I have a slightly larger 'front shelf' than some. It blocks the light when it slips. OOPS!

Very easy to use. Adjustable low/medium/high light beams. Makes a great gift.

As odd as it may sound, I bought this for skin care with my boyfriend. He tends to get ingrown in his beard that are painful and I struggled to help because I couldn't see what I was doing very well. It was awkward having him hold up his phone flashlight while I looked too. This light is perfect! I can put it around my neck or even twist it up and set it to the side so it shines at the right angle. It's super flexible, has three brightness settings and love that it's rechargeable. We've used it for eyebrow grooming, etc too and works like a charm. I also crochet and I can see how this would be really nice for that as well!

I recently tried three of these neck reading lights: Frishare, Glocusent, and Vekkia (this one). Of those three, I'm keeping the Vekkia. The Frishare one is relatively light weight, the lights work well as advertised, and it comes with a nice hardened case, which is really it's primary benefit. However, the rubber arms are thicker than other models and it is a bit bulkier. Moreover, when you bend the flexible arms I immediately could see the rubber pull off of the battery casing, making the wiring visible. I also tried the Glocusent version. It worked well but had two main problems. It is less flexible with a bigger battery pack in the back, and it doesn't work with USB-C chargers (my main gripe). While it is advertised as USB-C, I could only charge it with the enclosed cable, which you plug into a USB-A charger and plugs into the light with an end that looks like USB-C. When I tried multiple Apple OEM USB-C chargers and USB-C to USB-C cables, it would not charge. I don't want to keep a device that only works with its own proprietary charger. In the end I settled for the Vekkia neck light. It is light weight with thinner arms than the Frishare. Admittedly all of them are cheap lights and imperfect, but the Vekkia appears better made at first glance, given that the Frishare had exposed wires. The Vekkia charged fine with my own USB-C to micro-USB cables. The lowest brightness setting on the Vekkia is also lower than the Frishare or Glocusent, meaning you have the option of less light when your spouse is sleeping.

This is good product. I've been using this light for a few years now. I love the fact that it is rechargeable, has 3 different levels of brightness, 3 different colors of lights and adjustable. I only use this occasionally in the morning. So I cant really say how long a charge lasts. I probably only charge it every 5 months or so. The best thing about it is that It will stay charged when not in use.

The product works well for my needs.

Used it only few days. The packing was good. The light is good for reading at night without disturbing others. Cable is quite manoeuvrable. Product is sturdy. Hopefully it will last.

Can be quite uncomfortable to wear at times. 😕 Still prefer a rechargeable clip book light.

Bought this product as a gift but when tried using it, the product was not working at all. Tried charging it for 3 hours and still its not working. Not able to return the product as well. And couldn't contact the seller about the defect. Won't recommend anyone buying this.
