Well worth the money!!!!!
I am a recently retired HVAC tech. I can only say...WOW! lets start with the item packaging. Everything was well packed and arrived undamaged. Everything seems well made and well thought out. Even the line set had perfect flares. The only thing I can say is a negative is the power/signal cable between the condenser and the air handler is about two feet shorter than the line set. The line set is easy to bend and is seamless, so if you had to re-flare it, it shouldn't split at the seam. I used a little Nylock on the flares and upon evacuation system held a vacuum with no measurable loss of vacuum in 24 hours. Once the system was pressurized, no leaks noted via leak tester or old fashioned soap bubbles. System passed all tests on startup. Even the amazon alexa setup was easy. Note that this is installed in an unconditioned space. I tested it the other morning, Outside temp was 33F. The indoor air handler was blowing 128F air!!!!! I am impressed!!! Once upon a time, you were lucky to get 90 degree air out of a heat pump. I am heating/cooling only 240 sq feet ( uninsulated) with 18000 BTU's and this thing brings the temp up quite rapidly. The fact that I can tell the system to switch on and set the temp via Alexa is awesome. Also note that there appears to be parts available as well if they are ever needed. I did have a minor issue with figuring where to plug the wifi dongle so I reached out to customer service. They were quick to respond and quite helpful, so A+ there as well. I could have spent a little less, but I felt this was all around a better product.

Efficient and Quiet. Works perfectly. Enjoy!
I bought this 18000 btu unit last summer and I absolutely love it. You can barely hear it - just air moving. Cools AND heats wonderfully and lowered the heck out of my electric bill. I'm in Southern CA and it was over 100 most of last summer. It's a winner, and I would definitely buy it again.

Extremely Happy and Cost Effective Alternative to Central Air for a Home Office
One of the best and smartest purchases that I have made in a long time. As we all know, the pandemic changed a lot of things with one being how many of us now work from home. I have created an office here in my house but living in Burbank, California it gets hot at times - sometimes up to 110 degrees! While my home has central air, my roommates are at work during the day and I am the only one home. So why pay the sky-high cost to cool your entire house when you are just in a single room all day? My office is also in the rear room and the central air just does not get it that cool - maybe 75 tops if I leave it on all day and set it to 72. Great benefit #1 - Once I installed the Senville Mini Split, everything changed. I set it for 75 degrees and I had a 75-degree room within minutes! One time I was gone in the morning and when I came home the house and office were 85 degrees. I turned on the unit and pushed the 'Turbo' button on the remote and the office (which is about 60 square big) was at 75 degrees within 6 minutes! So now, not only do I have a comfortable work environment, but I am also saving money since I only cool my home office and NOT the entire house. I expect to save about $100 a month which means the unit will pay for itself within two years. Great benefit #2 - One of my job responsibilities is to talk on the phone occasionally. This is SO QUIET that I have to look to even see if it is on. Not only is the unit inside quiet, but so is the outside unit. Great benefit #3 - Alexa! One of the main reasons I bought from this company is that it would work with my Alexa system. My entire house is automated (lights, sprinklers, central air, doors, etc.). So now, after I get up and get ready for my day, I can tell Alexa to turn on the unit and set the office air to 75 degrees. I can walk into the room within minutes and the room is perfect! I can also do this from the car on my way home when it is even hotter in the house. At first, it did not work and I talked with a gentleman named Mike from Senville that I had to have the USB kit for the unit for it to work with Alexa. I got it within days and it took less than three minutes to install it in the unit and have it running with the Alexa system. They make it that easy! (My only advice to them is to make sure they explain that in their description that it is not included and you must get it separately.) I am extremely happy I bought this unit and the company is proactive and stands behind its products. I am now considering buying a second unit for my bedroom. Because it has been nothing but HOT so far, I have not used the unit heater yet but I have no doubt when I do this winter it will also impress me with its features. If you don't use Alexa, this is still an awesome unit to have and the remote control gives you all the features you need. My personal thanks to Mike at Senville for taking the time to reach out and to make my experience great!

Great product
This is our second one and we wouldn't consider any other brand. Work well, easy to install (with an extra set of hands to hole the unit while it is mounted) and easy to control with remote. Highly recommend.

Good basic unit
This is a review of the Senville 18K BTU LETO heat pump. I installed this unit myself, so I have no warranty to fall back on. That was a risk I was willing to take to save the installation fee, which is often $400 or more. And some contractors will not install a unit they did not sell. But the installation went fine. I watched a couple of YouTube videos and bought a vacuum pump with gauges ($129) to make the job possible. I also bought a product that you smear on the connections to increase their reliability. The most time consuming part of installing the unit was mounting the indoor and outdoor units. As others have said, it would be very helpful if Senville supplied a template for mounting the indoor unit. Both the indoor and outdoor units are very quiet, attractively styled, and do the job they are made to do. I did have a couple of disappointments, however. First, the "swing" feature that spreads the air around works only up and down. I had thought the advertisement said the vent fins would swing side to side as well. They do not. There are fins that direct the airflow horizontally, and they can be manually moved to change the airflow direction, but they won't sweep side to side on their own. I read through the ads and the technical literature on Senville's website, and the operation of the sweep feature is not mentioned, as far as I can tell. Second, the remote controller does not support programming the unit for different times of day or days of the week. It's a fairly basic remote. The Alexa integration might enable one to program the unit, but I have found that you have to choose between controlling the unit with Alexa and controlling it with the remote. They don't play well together. The remote does not know what Alexa is doing to the unit and gets out of sync. Alexa seems to know what the remote has done, however. Anyway, it's confusing to use both. I need to use the remote because not everyone in the house is a fan of Alexa. So after playing with the Alexa integration for a while, I have decided to disable it. I am a sad nerd. Neither the lack of horizontal swing nor the Alexa integration problem are too big a deal to me, so I'm happy with my purchase, especially for the price. But I would be even happier if I had know about these two issues before I decided to buy the Senville unit. Update: The unit has been running for a couple of weeks now, flawlessly. The temperature in the room is very stable. I simply forget that it's there doing its job. I have discovered that the follow me feature has a serious limitation; the remote control must be within visual range of the wall unit. You cannot take the remote into another room and expect the heat pump to monitor the temperature in that room. If the wall unit does not get a message from the remote for 8 minutes or so, the follow me feature is effectively turned off and the wall unit temp. sensor takes over. I think the remote transmits the temperature it senses every 2 or 3 minutes. I still use the feature since my wall unit is mounted near the main entrance, which is slightly cooler than the middle of the room in the winter, but I cannot leave the remote in its wall holder since that kills the link between it and the wall unit because the IR beam is pointed at the ceiling.

Great AC and Just as Great Customer Service
I hated installing and uninstalling the window unit my family used to cool our home. I couldn't afford to have someone install a mini split for me so I watched some videos to see if it was something I could do myself. There are a lot of videos explaining how to install a mini split; some better than others. I recommend Doubelwide6's video on YouTube to install this unit. If you're a competent DYI handyperson you can do this. You will need to buy some specialty tools to do it correctly. I installed it last year over two days. (I had help from my daughter who wanted to install it with me so I worked slower than normal as I helped her to learn.) The first thing I noticed once I had it running is what I didn't notice; the noise that would drown my TV out when we were using the window unit. We live in a 1,040 SF (first floor) ranch style house and the 18,000 BTU keeps the whole house comfortable. As a bonus, the mini split can supplement our heat in the winter to take the chill out of the portion of the house I installed it in. I had no problems with the mini split, until the first hot day of this year hit. We turned the mini split on and after a few minutes we received an E1 code, which is the code given if the outside compressor and the indoor evaporator aren't talking to each other. I tried to research the issue but still had questions. I emailed customer service with some of the information I gathered. Based upon what I emailed I was told I needed a new outside control board. I expected to be charged for the board but with little more than proof I bought the unit within the previous year I was sent one for free. No proof that I had a professional install the unit. The mini split worked for a couple days after I installed the new board and suddenly threw another E1 code. I emailed the customer service representative and he sent me a new indoor control board. When that didn't work he called me and walked me through a few more tests. He ended up pushing my case up to his supervisor. His supervisor was perplexed that both boards didn't solve the issue so he sent me a box of parts to try, including a new communication cable, a motor, and two new boards in case one of the boards they sent previously was bad for some reason. The problem turned out being the longer communication cable I bought from another vendor prior to installing the mini split since the cable that came with unit was shorter than I needed. I had to install the outdoor compressor further from the evaporator than the included cable allowed. The longer cable was copper clad aluminum and began rotting from the inside out. After I replaced the cable with a copper cable the mini split started working perfectly. Whether you install it yourself or hire someone to do it for you you should be pleased with both the mini split and Senville's customer support.

Circuit Board Issues, Unresponsive Customer Service
We chose this mini split system based on the positive reviews and what appeared to be a responsive customer service team. Unfortunately, our experience has been very disappointing. From the beginning, we had ongoing issues with the unit. At first, customer service was willing to take our calls and discuss the problems, but over time they became increasingly difficult to reach and eventually stopped responding altogether. We hired a licensed HVAC company to inspect the system, and they determined there appears to be an issue with the circuit board. The unit shuts off randomly and changes temperature settings on its own, making it unreliable and frustrating to use. We have made multiple attempts to work with customer service to resolve the problem, but our calls and requests have gone unanswered. We are very disappointed with both the product and the lack of support after the sale. Based on our experience, we cannot recommend this unit.

Great product
I’m very pleased. Product is very well assembled and sealed. Pressurized great. Small details are evident and made for a smooth install. At max heat (86deg) it was putting out 115 deg 👍. Fan is super quiet, and features are great for this price. Paid about $1k to have professionally installed. Suggest doing that so testing and hose cleaning can be done for best performance.

As advertised.
Item arrived on time, on a pallet without incident. Unit was well packaged and contained everything as advertised. Did require the additional adapter (purchased separately) for connecting outdoor unit to A/C gauge for evacuating lines. Purchased an additional wall cover kit for piping to improve overall look of the piping. Instructions were fine although should you not have a background in AC, a couple of the phrases may make you pause on exact intent. To date the unit is performing as expected and has been a positive experience to date.
