It works fine although the picture quality has just a little to much contrast. The menu adjustment in non responsive. I like that it starts where you left off when turned off and on. A little slow to respond. Ok. I've used it for hours. I'd buy another.

This is a great little DVD player. It does have subtitles available if your DVD offers them. It is compact, and I like that. Great for the price!

My primary use for the item is as a CD player for a conventional 2.0 Sony Stereo. Even though it is a low-cost player, it provides good sound and is easy to use. Although I am quite pleased with the player, there are a couple of deficiencies. Three buttons are on the front panel of the player and they are very small and rather difficult to use. The remote control seems to have a limited range and has many more buttons than actual functions.

I bought this Sony DVD Player to replace a basic no-name brand unit that only lasted a year. I figured spending the few extra $ would be worth it. It's so easy to set up and the TV picture is MUCH BETTER when playing discs. The remote works exceptionally well and the lightweight unit takes up almost no space. I highly recommend this Sony DVD player!

This replaces a 20 year old clunker! Small size and easy set up -- I'm an 80 year old woman, read the setup instructions and voila! Works fine.

This little Sony dvd player replaced a much older one that I had for years. The performance has been excellent thus far. Picture quality & ease of use also excellent! I will give an update in the future on durability & other qualities.

In this day and age, using a DVD player is quickly becoming obsolete. I'm no exception to this, hence such an inexpensive player.Like many others, I live in a rural community that can be more prone to internet outages. As such, this is simply backup when that happens.I originally purchased one for 25 bucks at a "big box store"...and thought I should give it a quick test before throwing the box away.Yay for me...it was pathetic.Sounded like an airplane taking off when I turned it on, picture quality and sound we're awful.It went right back to the store...and here I was reading reviews on this device.For the extra 15 bucks or so, this player looks better....sounds better....and the picture quality was a great improvement as well.Not to mention there is zero noise when turning it on!I now have piece of mind for the next random and long lasting outage occurs up here.

Trying to communicate with someone is nearly impossible! The remote control that came with this order does not work, therefore making it virtually worthless! I have found no way to reach a customer service representative. All of your stuff is picked this and pick that I can’t tell anybody that part of your order doesn’t work when you simply ask me a question and then ask me if it was answered doesn’t work that way.
