Thankful there was a diagram of how these parts were connected under the sink. I was able to swap out my rusted pieces with these and it fit perfectly. Various sized balls, and gaskets were provided. I found the ones that fit best, hooked them up, and walaaaa! No leaks and the lift rod worked again. I'm saving that diagram. It was so helpful!

I read all the reviews about this leaking but ordered it anyway. Sure enough, it leaked. That's probably because the instructions don't tell you how to properly install the gasket. After some trial and error I figured it out. The gasket should be on the side of the ball that touches the pipe opening. It sits between the ball and the pipe opening, with the flat part pressed against the opening. The part that you screw on touches the ball directly - with no gasket in-between - and screws onto the pipe opening, sandwiching everything tightly together.

So, I'm not a bit of a "DYI kind of person". I'm a 59 year old woman, who is a paper pusher by trade. My sink in my master bath needed attention (the stopper rusted out and no longer worked), and I just wasn't going to pay the outrageous prices plumbers charge anymore.....so, after reading numerous reviews on this item, I figured I purchase it, and try switching it out myself. The product was received in one day, and yes, after watching a You Tube video, I switched out the ball rod w/ a new pivot ball (this package comes with three different sizes, which is perfect), other reviewers complained about the teflon tape needed to put around the ballrod threads, I had no issues with this. All in all, this went extremely well, and only took about 15 minutes. The worst part of the whole process was after putting everything back together, the "clevis clip" wouldn't stay on the ball rod and lift rod extension. Whenever I would pull the life rod (on top of the sink) up and push back down, the clevis clip would fly off. There was no tension. I couldn't use my old clevis clip, as the new ball rod was just a bit larger in diameter than the old one. As a quick fix, until I can get to the hardware store, I just put some duct tape in front/back of the clevis clip to hold it in place. It works fine. No leaks from where the pivot ball was replaced, and the sink stopped is working perfectly. That's only reason I gave this product 4 stars instead of 5, was because of the loose clevis clip.

I bought my sink ten years ago and have no idea what company manufactured it so many years later. The end of the sink drain stopper arm broke off and I needed a replacement. I had no idea how big the pivot ball is and didn't want to take it apart to measure and then be without a sink waiting a few days for parts to arrive. This kit was perfect since it has multiple options for multiple parts. I ended up using the smallest ball in the kit, not the one that was on the new rod by default. The parts seem to be of good quality and hopefully will last a long time. Be sure to clean out all of the gross gunk from the side pipe opening where you insert the ball before putting it all back together.

The "ball rod" or "pivot rod" was not long enough for my purpose. It's only a little over 7" long. I returned it without using it, but the product looked to be of good quality.

I'm relatively new to home repairs, and am so pleased with how easy it was to fix my drain stopper with this kit! The written directions were simple and clear, especially with the labeled diagram, but the video made me feel extra confident I knew what I was doing. I noticed in the video I should have had a washer in the drain body before the pivot ball from the previous set, but there wasn't one in there. I tried to use one of the included ones, but the one I tried was a little big and caused water to leak out. So I took that washer out and put the pivot ball right in without one, and it works great with no leaks. Awesome when there's a quick, affordable fix, and this is one of them!!

I absolutely loved this product. I had gone to a big hardware store, and they did not have the pop-up assembly for Price Pfister. The I bought an other part from Amazon that was advertising that it works with price Pfister. Well, I didn't fit... This product is actually three products in one package (that's why a little more expensive). But it's worth the price not to drive to hardware store several times, or to have to replace the whole drain. The only improvement I would make on the institutions is to clean the threads with a wire brush, and show the included washer in the assembly picture describing which direction the washer should face

I used one piece from this and my sink stopper works. No way I'm going to do anymore..... cause I live in an apartment.

So happy I found this universal kit! I was able to fix 2 bathroom sinks with the one pack. One sink needed a new rod and pivot ball and I was so happy it came with 3 options because I needed the smallest one. The other sink was missing the piece that connected the rod with the sink pull so it worked iut perfectly. Thank you!

I bought this as I needed a replacement due mine has rusted through. This is a very good set it has 3 different ball sizes with plastic washer and screw caps. The only problem I have found with this is that the rod is too thick for my current holder, I was under the impression it was a standard size. This set does come with all the replacement parts so it can be changed but I chose not to use this. Overall I would recommend this kit if you need any of the balls, caps or rod just be cautious that the rod might be too thick for your existing pull rod.

I was pleased that everything came in one package and that I didn't need to buy anything else.
