This filter is about half the price of oem and works just as well. I am thankful I had replaced our filters prior to the Canadian wildfire smoke that made its way to PA.

They are a little cheaper than the OEM, but I’m not sure it’s worth it. The ‘charcoal’ used in this brand is definitely not as absorbent as the OEM. If filtering is all you care about, these are worth it. If odor reduction is something you want, go with the OEM, you’ll thank me.

What a difference changing the filter makes. When we run our air purifier with our new filter it’s like night and day regarding odors in the home. We have lots of pets and a toddler with two working parents so whether it’s built up dishes, garbage, or a fresh present in the litter box this thing catches on and clears it right off!

Filters for my Airmega 400s have been getting harder to find and at $100/pair I decided to give generic a tryRight off the bat - these weigh less than even a genuine airmega 300 filter, and feel about half as heavy as the genuine coway airmega 400 filters. Holding it up to a light- I can see daylight right through this one and zero daylight through the oem. In terms of carbon for odor control - this looks to have about 1/4 the fill with many of the grids entirely empty but most just a few pieces maybe filling 20% of the surface area. Torn if its better to keep the 12 month old genuine filters in another couple months or try these. If you are on a super tight budget I might see this being a possible solution but there's no possibility this will do anywhere near as fine a job and it's likely going to need replacement so often the genuine filters are cheaper on an annual basisEDIT: Have now used a while, it is awful compared to the OEM filter. With the genuine filters I could cook and smell nothing within a couple minutes and these things run the AirMega 400 on maximum for a good 30 minutes and there's little improvement at all. It's kind of like running an air filter with no filter at all. Back to the used filters until my genuine ones arrive

Great fit and seem to be just as good as the OEM filters. The price is great. Have used these 3 times now and very happy with them.
