Woodstock: 50th Anniversary Edition: Three Days that Rocked the World

My uncle was there and reminisced about it often. We even watched the documentary together. This book is a cool walk down memory lane and provides insight and photographs that even the passing Woodstock/classic fan would love.

This thick, heavy book is filled with pictures, interviews and stories about everyone who put Woodstock '69 together and everyone who performed and assisted in bringing the event to life. It was an absolutely phenomenal event in my lifetime ~ and I thought the writers/developers of this book did a marvelous job. The memories this book brought back made me really happy.

I was watching a documentary on the 50th Anniversary of Woodstock, unfortunately I was too young to attend, and it resonated with me so much that I wanted to have a book about the whole experience. In this world of so much hate it was a breath of fresh air to read about people coming together to enjoy some first class music, without violence. This book had lots of pictures interviews with artist and spectators and I will cherish it forever. Very interesting and with pits of information that were new to me. A great coffee table book that would make an awesome gift too.

This is an amazing compilation of photographs and commentaries about a pivotal event in American musical and political history. Not only does it describe in detail, each artist and the numbers performed but it gives an update of the history of each performer, many of whom, have since, died. I think this book would be a treasure for anyone interested in music, art and history.

The Book is thick and heavy with lots of photos. Lots of good information about the Music groups and festival. Has Information about other popular Music festivals. Excellent book to buy.The dimensions of the book are= 1-1/8 Inches thick-10 Inches wide- 11-5/8 Inches thick.

This is an awesome book, which outlines the history of the 1960s and shows Woodstock in cronalogical order. The pictures are awesome. There are comments from members of each of the performers, so you get a feeling of what they were thinking and doing. There are also quotes from the people attending, so you get an overall feeling of what the times and this event was like. Very cool, especially if you remember when this happened and want to know more about it.

Quality is unmatched. The photos and pictures capture the story. I feel like I am using a yearbook and getting behind the scene details of the Woodstock weekend. Love this.

Das Papier ist hochwertig und von schwerer Qualität, daher wirkt das Buch sehr edel.Tolle Fotos, detaillierte Beschreibungen der Auftritte und sogar der Finanzen (einige Musiker bekamen ganz schön wenig Gage, andere deutlich mehr!) sowie die Beschreibung der weiteren Entwicklung der wichtigsten Beteiligten geben viele Informationen. Gelungen ist auch die historische Einordnung mit vorlaufenden und nachfolgenden Konzertfestivals und politischen Ereignissen.Endlich hat mir jemand erklärt, warum die Grateful Dead nicht auf Platte oder Film auftauchten. Sie hatten sich wohl zugedröhnt und ihren Auftritt vermasselt.
