Toyo Tires 254120 Proxes 4 Plus Performance Radial Tire - 245/45R17 99W

Purchased for a 1994 Mustang GT. Even though profile stated is "45" they look "taller" than my original Goodyear's. They have a more comfortable ride. Not meant for all out performance. Very happy with purchase.

I have put 30,000 miles on these tires. My driving style is fairly aggressive, i.e. hard corners, quick take offs, quick stops, quick lane changes, this is a "ultra high performance all season" tire after all. I drive a slightly modified Audi a4 with quarto all wheel drive, making around 300hp & 300ft/lbs. What I have found was that the tires grip pretty well in dry weather. They are ok in the rain, but they do tend to slip when you push it, more so than I expected. I have to say they are pretty lousy in the snow and other slick conditions, even with awd, they did not inspire much confidence or predictability, I have had other all season tires perform much better in the past. Finally , they did not wear very well, I burned through these tires in about half to 3/4 of the wear rating advertised. For the money, I would consider another tire if you drive even mildy aggressive or have a higher power car 300hp+. For me, I will not buy these again.

I will rate it with 5 stars. I bought a new set of this tires when my car was 44k miles.It was a daily driven car in all seasons. I have now 104k on it and the tires are still ok. Didn't have any problems with them ever. After almost 5 years, i will definitely buy another set of those Proxes. And they are pretty good in winter. I have a 325Ci BMW RWD, and i didn't get stuck in snow (i live in Chicago and we did had a lot of snow in last years).
