1/18/25 Update: It's now over 2 years later, and I no longer have to use the tens on a daily basis, just as needed. This remains one of the best purchases and investments I've made on Amazon. You can adjust the settings in so many ways, so it's just right for you. One thing I've noticed is that if you move around a bit while wearing the electrode pads, the pulses can can "jump or skip" (best way I can describe it) a little bit. It feels like a tiny, electric shock, but I don't want to scare anyone off with that comment; I just want people to be aware. It was a little jarring at first, but I got used to it. It still remains, hands down, the best affordable and adjustable tens unit on the market. If you have musculoskeletal pain, I highly recommend THIS iReliev tens system. Of course, check with your doctor if you have any questions. I am definitely a fan! 10/12/22 I was very reluctant to put down about $300 for this (including extra pads and adhesive/conductive gel), but I feel like it was a good investment. I wake up every morning in severe pain from a damaged rotator cuff. I bought this a week ago and have used it every day, several times a day. It has reduced my pain about 60%, which to me, is worth its weight in gold. To be transparent, I have experienced some side effects. The first morning after using it, I got extremely dizzy if I tilted my head or bent over. But it's much less now. I can't imagine going back to wires. But word to the wise: please read through the manual, including the warnings. It helped me to place it carefully. Like another reviewer stated, you will probably never turn it up to its highest level - I haven't gotten past level 4, which is pretty intense. I'm usually at a 3. The pads have stuck well - have used the same ones 3-5 times per day for a week now. But it's definitely time to either apply the gel (haven't used that yet) or get new pads. 5 stars from me! I can't speak to the longevity of the device but I can say I'm very happy to have my pain reduced and my quality of life is so much better.

This unit is hands down amazing!! I didn’t expect much. I bought this for a long plane trip. They help with travel fatigue and pain. This unit offers EMS & Tens frequency. I enjoy the versatility of either wired or wireless. Surprisingly the charge lasts for several 30 min sessions. It’s so strong too I can’t even handle 10 and it goes to 25, it’s way stronger than I expected. Replacement pads are not easy to find but I got generic ones that work perfectly. If you’re in the fence get these. Totally worth the money. Don’t buy the cheaper ones

I have a cheap (around $35) wired TENS device that supports 2 channels with up to 6 pads, but I wanted to try wireless for convenience. I picked this unit because most wireless options I could find (other than extremely expensive ones that focus more on EMS) only appear to support 2 pads at once, whereas this one supports 4. Parts of this review will be a comparison to that other wired device. The wired TENS has 11 therapy settings but I only like a few of them. I tried out the 8 TENS setting on this wireless unit and I think they are a fine selection and so not an issue that there are fewer options. I suspect I will mainly use 3 of them anyway. I haven't tried the EMS settings yet. So far, the wireless capability seems to work well and as I expected/wanted, so I'm happy with that. The wireless nodes are fairly light and keeping the pads on my lower back does not seem to be an issue for my first usage experimentation. The nodes protrude out a bit, though, so this might restrict body positioning/comfort a bit depending on where they are placed. The system is very flexible in that it has 4 channels, and you can distribute (via pairing) the 4 nodes among them however you like. By default, they are all on channel 1, so you can use the same therapy setting on 4 different pads, but you can also set it up to use 1 pad on each channel or any other combination. My most likely usage of multiple channels would be two channels, each with two pads, one channel for lower back and another for upper back. Each channel can have its own therapy setting (but that also adds to the button mashing for setting it up, see below). It comes with some larger pads and medium sized ones, so a bit of variety, but the smallest ones for this device are still quite a bit bigger than the smallest ones that came with the wired TENS -- this unit doesn't have a very small option for more focused treatment, probably restricted somewhat by the size of the wireless nodes. It was very easy to snap the pads onto the wireless nodes. The controller is a bit of a mixed bag. It is fairly small and very light, but you have to go through the settings for each channel with multiple button presses, any time you want to change anything, including intensity. I feel that it should be set up so that the last setting you entered remains "active" while using it, and you can change the intensity without clicking through the entire button combination (and then have a lock setting to prevent accidental clicking). Another problem is if you are using a variable-pattern treatment option, when you first set the intensity it could feel good for the first part of the pattern, but be too high for another part of the pattern, and you won't know until you get there, and then you have to click a bunch of times to stop it or turn the thing off entirely. On my wired device I can touch the touch screen to change the time or the treatment option or the intensity quickly and that one also has side buttons to adjust the intensity without using the touch screen. So on the wired device I can test higher intensities very easily and then quickly click them down if it is too much, and quickly switch between treatment options that is a bit harder to do with this one. Another annoying thing is that it doesn't let me wrap around the settings, for the most part, although sometimes it does. For example, if you have the time set to 5 and want to go to 60, you have to click "+" a bunch of times to increment by 5 up to 60, you cannot click "-" to wrap around backwards to go directly from 5 to 60. Same for the TENS settings, if you are on P8, and want to go to P1, you have to click down 7 times instead of just clicking up once and wrapping around. On the other hand, when I had accidentally selected EMS, it let me wrap around between the highest and lowest setting. So, not sure why it sometimes allows that and sometimes doesn't, but it should always allow it. This seems like a major oversight, and the fact that it is inconsistent is not a good look for a relatively expensive TENS unit like this. Another issue with this device is that the supplied charging cable is split into 4 connectors, but there are 5 items that need to be charged, the controller and 4 wireless nodes. When you first get the device and want to charge it for the first time, you won't be able to use the provided cord to charge everything at once. I charged the remote and two nodes at first to try it out, and while I was using the charged nodes, I charged the other two. It comes with a nice carrying case, though it is a bit odd because the outside of the box it is packaged in reads like it is only the carrying case. For a moment when I opened the shipping box and saw this I thought they had accidentally sent me just the case, without the unit, until I opened it. Looking at it again, I see a small sticker saying the device is included in the box, while the printing on the box actually says the device is not included. So I guess what they are doing is reusing the same box for the case alone and also for the full device plus case (with sticker to differentiate). So overall it seems good so far, but due to the above-mentioned design flaws I have to subtract 1 star.

I was excited to go wireless and upgrade from my old wired Intensity unit since the battery went bad in that unit. However, this particular item is deeply flawed in that the discs are too heavy for the proprietary electrodes that you must use for this unit. They only stay on for about five minutes at most before they fall right back off. I tried troubleshooting all kinds of ways before I finally reached out to the company for help. I gave it a few days, but unfortunately never heard back. It’s frustrating to spend that much money for something that doesn’t work or that you can’t even get customer service for. I sent it back to Amazon for a refund at this point. Waste of money.

It is a little pricey, but it is well worth the money! It is a very powerful little unit with plenty of different programs and intensity settings! Once you get used to the control and learn which buttons to press and when, it is a pleasure to use! Mine was delivered with a defective wireless pod! PEGGY in CUSTOMER SERVICE was very friendly, knowledgeable and a pleasure to deal with! She immediately mailed me a replacement pod!🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟 After experimenting with different programs and intensities it seems to be really helping my sciatica nerve pain! It didn’t come with a lot of instruction on where and how to place the pods! But you can get more detail information from GOOGLE!👍

Initially, I was upset and thought that received (2) 2-pod models when I purchased (2) 4-pod models because the image on the front of the box shows 2 units. I called the company phone number listed on Amazon and spoke with Peggy who was super helpful. 1) I never opened the box or turned it over before calling support. Turns out there is a picture of a 4-unit system on the back along with the support phone number. (Confusing imagery? Yes, but looking at everything would have negated thinking I had a 2-pod system just because that is what is pictured on the front.) 2) Per Peggy's suggestion, I opened the box to confirm the number of units. Guess what I found? Right, 4-pods. 3) Pairing the pods to the remote works exactly like the written instruction. It was still nice for Peggy to walk me through paring all of the pods over the phone. Additionally, she sent helpful links via email. 4) It is taking me time to determine the best configurations for my pain between TENS and EMS, but I find it useful to have so many pre-programmed options. This kept me from overthinking the settings like I tend to do with my wired unit that has a self-configuration option for TENS and EMS. ***It wouldn't hurt to have self-configuration for both modes considering the cost.*** 5) Although bulky, I am able to wear them under my clothes without the hassle of cord management, and I have experienced positive short-term results. The placement suggestions at iReliev.com/electrode-placements are very helpful for me to address specific muscle pains.

It was absolute pain to setup pairing! The instruction manual was absolute trash and was missing steps, which I wasn't aware of until I went to the iReliev YouTube page to get a better explanation. Once it was all paired, then it was awesome. It's an immediate relief for my De Quervain's tenosynovitis. UPDATE: Now I'm having issues with it randomly sending increased "shocks" when I'm using the pre-program option on remote. To fox it, I have to shut everything down, and re-marry the paring with the pods. Then it works fine for a while and will randomly do that again. That's too annoying.

I heard from a good friend about iReliev and their bluetooth Tens Unit. My friend was passionate about their service as well. He said that he has only seen service like this from Weber Grills and Dyson Vacuums. I ordered a iReliev 4-Pod set and Amazon sent me the 2-Pod kit. I was very disappointed but my friend encouraged me to call iReliev. I called and you can actually speak to someone at their corporate office. They were very empathetic and committed to correcting the issue immediately. I received my correct order 7-days later. More importantly, the quality of the iReliev Bluetooth system is amazing and simple to use with no wires getting in your way. I have a really bad back from an 10 year old accident, and the iReliev Bluetooth system helps relax my muscles and reduces my pain levels. I have been using my iReliev Bluetooth system 3-4 times a week and it is amazing. I highly recommend this product and their service is second to NONE. Thank you iReliev!
