Use as straight mike stand with boom, or a very TALL stand.
I was extremely happy with this product. Although some of it is plastic, much of it IS made of metal - the IMPORTANT parts - and it is more versatile than you think. You can use the boom to mike up an acoustic guitar, and the other section to do the voice mike. Or...you can hang the boom vertically and raise it up enough to reach the Jolly Green Giant if you wish. You can even put two mikes side by side if you want. The connections are solid, and when using a mike stand with plastic connections and adjusters, just remember they don't have to be tightened down to ridiculous levels. You don't NEED to keep tightening them until they break, because they will hold just fine with modest tightening. Just snug them up a bit, and then leave them be. By doing this, your adjusters will last a very long time. The biggest mistake people make with these is thinking they need to be torqued down everywhere like head bolts on an engine. Just an easy snug-down is all you need. Don't REEF them down, as they say. No need to do that. A gentle 'snug' is all you need. The stand comes with two holders for microphones and some fairly high quality wind socks that will fit over any mike. If you are looking for solid quality at a low price point, you just found it. The tripod legs are very stable, made of metal, and have plastic foot pads on the ends. The fact that it is lighter than a more expensive all-metal stand is a bonus. I wouldn't use it for a heavy metal concert with all the flinging and bashing around that goes on with such a thing, but for normal uses you won't get any better at this price. This stand will be used next summer in combination with a stereo/PA system at a wilderness festival for the famous 'DB Cooper,' the only skyjacker in US history who got away with it. I've tested it for both karoake and PA use for this event, and it works just great. If you want to know more about all that, just Google up Adventure Books of Seattle and you can't miss it.

Good Stand Great Price
I ve bought 3 of these to replace the flimsy Snare rim clips that came with my Behringer Drum Mic set.I love how light it is but still sturdy and the knobs hold it steady too.I don't recommend for heavy Gigging as the knobs are all plastic and will no doubt break. But perfect for a practice room . Good vALUE for the price

Incredible for the price.
I'm not a professional musician, but I've had a few stands before this one. This one is sturdier and more solid than the more expensive ones I've had. It can be used with two microphones where one person would be standing, the other one sitting with a guitar, etc.

ffordable and Versatile: Moukey Microphone Stand
The Moukey Microphone Stand with Dual Boom Arms is an excellent choice for those looking for an affordable and versatile solution to support their microphones. This stand has its strengths and some minor limitations, but for the price, it's definitely a usable option.Let's start with the positives. The stand's dual boom arms allow you to hold two microphones simultaneously, which is great for group performances or podcasting setups. The arms stay in place well, and the quick-release clamp makes adjustments easy for both standing and sitting use.The inclusion of 2 foam covers for your microphones is a nice touch, providing protection from saliva and moisture. The 2 clip-on cable holders help you avoid cable clutter, contributing to a neat setup. The stand's collapsible design is handy for on-the-go needs, and it can be assembled, transported, and stored with ease. It's versatile and suitable for a range of scenarios, from conference rooms and studios to weddings and outdoor activities. Now, let's address the limitations. The stand may not be suitable if you need to reach over more than 16 inches, as it could become unstable. It's also worth noting that the stand might require additional weight to prevent tipping, especially if you have a heavy microphone and a pop filter attached. The base's configuration might pose challenges for video use.The mic clips included aren't of the highest quality, but they serve their purpose until you decide to upgrade. In summary, the Moukey Microphone Stand with Dual Boom Arms is an affordable and practical option, particularly for those on a budget who are setting up a beginner podcasting or performance setup. It has its quirks, but it offers good value for the price and is a suitable choice for various applications.

My Dad Loves It
Purchased as a gift for my Dad almost a month ago, after he offhandedly mentioned he eventually needed to buy a microphone stand. He was so happy to receive this. Immediately unboxed and only took him a couple of minutes to set it up w/o looking at any instructions. He's more than familiar with mic stands, so I gather that played a role. :)For the price, I highly recommend this item. It is foldable, portable, and adjustable. The stand can be used while sitting or standing. Came with two arms, two mic clips, and two mic covers as noted in the description and it appears very durable. Also, has non-slip (rubber) feet, so the metal won't scratch his hardwood floors. What my Dad most appreciates is that the stand can be positioned in a manner so he is now able to comfortably sit while playing the piano and singing into the microphone. Before receiving this stand, he was resting the mic on a flat surface, which was causing unwanted feedback/noise during his recording sessions.I do recommend this, especially if you're looking for a reasonably priced microphone stand for a casual/budding recording artist/vocalist.

Great mic stand!
Well made boom mic stand! Light weight and easy to transport. My one recommendation is that you put a nylon ankle weight on this to prevent tipping when boom is extended. No need to take weight on and off as this stand will still fold down nicely with the weight still attached, Will purchase additional stands when need arises. Great product!

I wish I have this dual microphone stand years ago!
I have a few other mic stands, but they are all single mic stands. This mic stand can hold 2 mics and I do not have to use 2 mic stands when I play the acoustic guitar and sing at the same time. This stand is easy to setup and the position adjustment knobs are very stable and once set, the positions will stay. The stand balance is very stable but I do pay attention to how to place the tripod legs and it also depends on how high the poles are extended and where the counterweight is.It came well packaged inside its own box plus the Amazon shipping box on the outside. It is only 28.5 inches X 4 inches when fully folded in and it should be easy to carry. The mic stand was folded inside a long plastic bag, the mic holders are each inside its own sealed plastic bag, the 2 blue foam mic covers are inside a sealed plastic bag.The setup was easy and the 2 cable clips were aready on the poles, I only have to screw in the 2 mic holders and adjust the heights and positions to my preference. I tried a few positions like putting the boom arm at the higher position close to my mouth and the vertical arm at the lower position close to my guitar or the reverse of these positions. It is just a matter of preference whether I want more vocal then the boom arm is on top elase the boom arm is below. Before I got this double pole mic stand, I had to use 2 mic stands usually a boom stick stand plus a regular vertical mic stand with a round heavy base and it was a nuisance to setup. And many times, I just chose to play the electric guitar or to use the acoustic guitar's built in piezo pickup to avoid the trouble of using 2 stands but I do prefer the natural sound of the acoustic guitar coming out from the sound hole than from the pickup. Now that I have this dual pole mic stand, I only need to pick the positions that I like depending on whether I am standing or sitting while I sing and play my aooustic guitar. For those who worry about the tripod's stability that some reviewers complained about, it is very normal as I have 2 other single pole boom stick tripod stands and there is only so much that the small counter weight could balance plus it is a "tripod" with only 3 legs and not a big round heavy dumbbell weighted base. It is just purely simple "physics" and "common sense". I can assure you that this dual pole mic stand is just as stable as my other boom stck mic stand and it could be even more stable as it has a vertical pole with a mic to provide a bit more stability. One last suggestion, if all possible do leave the centre vertical pole as close to the floor as possible as this would certainly provide a bit more balance due to centre of gravity (I set up all my boom stick mic stand this way).I know I will have full use of this mic stand.
