I have to be honest in that I was a bit unsure what Gaffer tape actually was when I placed my order. I was hoping it would work for a couple of repair applications and figured I would take a chance on it since everything I have used to date didn't hold for very long, or held and ruined the surface of what it was taped to. I am happy to report that I love this tape! I appreciate that you can remove it without any damage done to the surface it was sticking to, but more importantly, it really does STICK to the surface as intended. I currently have one of those mobile air conditioners in my bedroom. The exhaust hose attaches to the back of the unit and then stretches as needed to reach the window to blow the hot air outside. I set up the attachment pieces that are supposed to hold the hose in the window. They are rather flimsy and do not stay in the window framework. It has cracked and there are gaps where hot air comes back into the bedroom.. I ended up trying to tape them together, which still wasn't the best, but better than it was to start with. My problem is the exhaust hose would keep slipping out of the window when the tape would get warmed from the sun. I tried this new gaffer tape on the exhaust portion and it is holding beautifully, even when the sun hits it! It was so nice that I removed the portions that I had originally installed in the window and redid them with this gaffer tape instead of the duct tape I had used previously. Today was another hot one, and I was cool and comfortable with the portable air conditioner running full blast and the exhaust hose is holding up in the window where I have it taped. Usually, when a tape holds as well as this one is holding, it is a big problem to try to remove it without destroying the surface where it was taped. This tape is extended onto a painted wall and comes off so very easily! I am really impressed. I am going to have to hide this tape from my renter. He has a really bad habit of getting into my things to "borrow" them for a bit. I don't want him knowing about this tape or mine will be gone forever. I am sure I am going to be turning to this tape for more and more projects, and have nothing but positive to say about it.

So far it has worked better than any other tape for my applications. I needed some heavy duty tape to hold a panel in place vertically while the epoxy gluing the panel to the body cured. I decided to try this XFasten Gaffers tape and it worked exactly as I needed. The panel was painted but the XFasten Gaffers tape did not remove any of the paint nor did it leave any residue. So far it has worked really well. It also tears really easily and cleanly. Only drawback is that the adhesive side is white, I would prefer black as I could then use it on clear panels/windows.

I originally bought this tape because I wanted something I could put over certain light reflective surfaces that shined too much in my eye with my lighting scheme at my computer desk. I like to sit in a dark room with very specific lighting. I also used it around my window frame to minimize the reflection from the sun when it hits at a specific angle. I've also used this to tape over the edge of my desk where the adhesive woodgrain looking thing was coming off. These have held for many months, and I just peeled one back and put it back on. It only left a bit of adhesive around the edges. I also recently used the tape when building a cardboard/paper layered standoff on my desk to make my mousing giant keyboard/mousepad surface even with my monitor stand base since my new monitor stand base was getting in the way of my mouse. Once all the cardboard/paper was in place under the mousepad, I taped down the edges with this tape. I also used the tape to secure a desklamp I have on top of some stacked boxes shining down light over my monitors, to make sure it doesn't tip over. It's holding perfectly and not coming undone. I'm also using it on some cardboard pieces to cover them and make them black, and I use them to block overly bright areas on my wall and to block the gaps between my monitors which look ugly. All in all, the tape looks great, the black matte is relatively unreflective, it sticks great, stays stuck, but can be undone and restuck, doesn't seem to leave much if any residue except maybe around the edges a bit. Also, when you tear it, it comes apart straight and clean, which is incredible. You have to apply a bit of effort, but then it just snaps apart like magic when you try to tear it like a sheet of paper. I don't know how this stacks up against other gaffer tapes, and since I don't gaff, I can't comment on whether it's good for gaffing. ;)

I ordered this gaffer tape I needed to hang up a 13-oz sign outside in the outdoors I need something that will not stick to the surface leaving a mark so for example if I would use duct tape it will leave a mark on the actual sign as well as on the service I'm touching it too so gaffers tape my friends told me that if I would use it it would come off easily and not leave a mark so there's different companies so I decided to try this one out it actually does a job easy to use does not peel off it is pretty pretty strong and sturdy it holds down the sign well onto the surface as well as it was in the outdoors so it did rain and snow but the tape still stay there and did not peel off so we're all does the job for me decent price and in fact I ordered two of them so overall does the job for me and I'm happy with it.

Just what I was looking for...a gaffers tape that tears easily, non- reflective, and sticky enough to hold audio cable on to carpeting and floors of venues - even overnight. Great tape!

I've used a LOT of gaffer's tape in my life as a photographer and filmmaker over 20+ years. This is by far the worst I've encountered. In fact, as adhesive tape goes, in general it is simply horrible. I purchased this both in black and white finishes and primarily needed to use it to make V-Flats. V-Flats are simply two large boards (in this case, two lightweight 4'x8'x2" insulation boards) joined together on the long edge so they hinge and open in a V shape. We use them in photography and film for reflecting or blocking light. From the first minutes of use, the tape would not hold its grip. When standing the flats vertically (which is what they do), the tape would simply come undone. No effort. No touching. Overnight, it would practically fall off. In order to reinforce the tape hinges, I ran a strip of tape down the middle of the hinge to overlap the strips folding over from either side of the two boards, hoping it would hold the tape more securely. Even before I completed the assembly, the tape was coming off. It doesn't even adhere well to itself! This tape was not being used in an extreme environment (heat, cold or humidity). So what gives? I've used it in other applications and found it mediocre at best. This tape was literally a waste of my money and time including the boards I purchased to create my flats. Had I been able to get to a real photo supply shop at the time, I never would have purchased this brand. Don't waste your money.

We use this for taping signage to podiums, cords to the floor and various other tasks during conferences. The tape is very durable and adheres well, but it is fairly easy to remove. It's strong, but you can tear if cleanly and evenly without tools, so it's very easy to use and looks nice because it doesn't get frayed at the ends. It holds things securely but leaves little to no residue.

Good value when you don’t need a whole case.

Pros: - Cloth is nice and matte black - Easy to tear, but strong - Super sticky - Comes off clean (so far, haven't left it on anything for too long yet) Cons: - Cloth tears along the grain too easily, so you get narrow strips hanging off - Too sticky, you have to be super careful to keep the tape from sticking to itself - Centre cardboard roll too big, which makes the whole roll much bigger than needed

Funciona muy bien para la producción audiovisual en set o para marcar montajes en eventos. Muy buen pegamento y fácil de quitar. Lo recomiendo.

Pluspunkte: Das Klebeband haftet extrem gut auf nahezu allen Oberflächen, lässt sich dennoch sauber und ohne Rückstände wieder entfernen, wirkt sehr hochwertig verarbeitet und lässt sich durch die saubere Gewebestruktur leicht von Hand abreißen. Minuspunkte: Es ist etwas dicker und fester als andere Gaffer-Tapes, wodurch sehr filigrane Anwendungen manchmal etwas mehr Kraft und Genauigkeit benötigen. Fazit: Ein absolut zuverlässiges, professionelles Gaffer-Tape, das sowohl für Kabelmanagement als auch für Foto-, Video- oder Haushaltseinsätze überzeugt und trotz kleinerer Schwächen bei feinen Arbeiten insgesamt einen sehr stabilen und langlebigen Eindruck hinterlässt.

Va mucho mejor que la cinta americana de siempre, pega fuerte y se adapta a esquinas y objetos con aristas. Muy contento con este tipo de cinta.
