Our puppy is an escape artist, most pens have vertical slats that made it easier for her to climb up and over so it was super important we found something that wasn't as easy to climb and this pen is definitely accomplishing that! We've gotten so much use out of this pen and we haven't even had it for a full year. We initially got it so we have a place to keep our puppy contained when we're bringing groceries in and out, when we have maintenance over to the apartment and we need her to stay out of the way, etc. The adjustability and customization of this pen has been so nice to have when we decide to change up the layout of our livingroom. The locking mechanism is great, it's very easy to wipe down when needed, love having a safe place to put puppy away when I need to clean, it has also worked great for our new puppy as a potty training tool. Easy to move around and lightweight enough to pick up when needed, I've paired this with a waterproof high chair mat underneath to protect my floors and it's been great so far. Photo is of the time I found an escaped doggy roaming around and needed to keep him separate from my girl while I searched for his owners. Can't recommend this pen enough !

This is THE BEST puppy playpen you can get! Please note, that I went to the manufacturers website and purchased two additional panels, so what you see in my pictures is the 4 you get from Amazon PLUS two more. This is the THIRD playpen setup I have been through for my little Houdini. The first was the highly rated 24” Iris plastic playpen, which lasted all of two weeks before she learned to put her paws in the bars and climb out. Then I bought another solid sided one and zip-tied it to the inside of it so she couldn’t get her paws through and climb out. That lasted about two months until she learned to yo-yo hop until she could reach the top with her front paws and climb out that way. So I began the search for a new one and came across this one. So far it’s escape-proof! Vertical bars so she can’t climb out, 28” so she can’t jump out or even get close to the top! It’s extremely sturdy and super easy to assemble. I love that I can shape it to fit whatever area I need. I took the advice of another reviewer and set it up so that the door opens inward. It saves space and helps with training. I wish I had found this one to start with, it would have saved me a ton of money, but you live and learn. It will last a lifetime so don’t waste your time or money on anything else and get this one!

Have a couple of these and they attach together easily. Used for a puppy and now he jumps over the fence at 5 months. The gate/door was easy to use and the fence could transform in locations easily to fit wherever needed. It secured him well when he was a baby.

It was very easy to assemble and is by far the best dog play pen I've had. If you have the ability to mount it on the wall, that would be ideal to increase the size of it. You'll need mounts. We wanted it free standing. I should have measured it prior to ordering it but it sounded pretty big. We put a small puppy bed and a plastic pee pad in it and those took up the entire space so no running amock room. I wasn't expecting it to be so small. I looked online at the manufacturers website and ordered an extension which is on it's way to make it a bit larger. I would recommend using a measuring tape and then setting up the inside with the dog's supplies so you aren't caught off guard. It's worth the money, but I wish they'd had the extension on Amazon's website and I had to go to the other and look at model numbers to find the one I needed. It would have been easier if it had all been available through Amazon. I'm now waiting an extra week for my extension. The extension ran about $50 bucks. Over all, if you're looking for something to last this would do it. If you don't want something heavy, this is probably not for you. We had the plastic super play pen and it's way lighter than this guy - but this is definitely a higher quality and will last for ever and can be turned into a gate with the right wall assembly items from the manufacturers website. It's VERY tall. Our dog will most likely never be able to jump out. The other advantage, our dogs have long hair and the plastic play pens caused tangles. This one won't from what I can tell. The bar separations are a good size so our puppy can't escape. :)

I am using this for a puppy. This is a safe expen for a puppy that climbs. The vertical bars don't allow them toe hold. The gate latch is easy to operate. Because the latch requires lifting on both sides, puppies cannot open it themselves. The pen can easily be configured in multiple ways, increasing its utility. It is sturdy and well made It is not particularly portable because of its weight. But your pup won't be able to knock it down, either, so that's not really a negative The only thing is watch the positioning of the gate. I keep my gate away from the side the pup jumps up on because the spacing between the slats is close enough there that her paw can get a bit stuck there for the size she is right now. Seems to have a high degree of quality so far (after 2 weeks of use). I am very happy with this purchase.

All I can say is WOW! This play pen is easy to assemble. It literally took a total of 10 minutes to set up. You can pick which shape you want (circle or rectangle) to fit it in any space! I love how they have an additional option of buying more panels if you want it to be bigger for your puppy when they become an adult. It is also VERY sturdy! There is NOWAY your dog is pushing this pen over. It’s made of metal and feels so nice to the touch. I know the listing says off white but to me it looks pure white which I’m so happy about! It matches my doors and trim in the house which makes it stand out less!! It just looks SO NICE. It’s just enough room to fit a pee tray, bed, food bowls and a couple of toys with still some room for playing! I also love how you have two options on how you want the doorway to open (either in-wards or out-wards) it really makes a difference when your trying to fit it in a certain space. The door stays open which is another positive for me so my puppy can go in and out all day if she wants! The lock on the door is easy to open but sturdy enough that your dog will never be able to open the clasp! The pee tray I’m using is (Petkit Pura dog pet training pad) 20.5 X 15.35. It was hard finding one to fit to still leave your puppy as much playing space as you can! I also recommend getting a reusable pee pad for underneath to protect your floors from accidents! We have been using this since March 2016 and it works wonderful. Never felt comfortable using a crate for my puppy, so much like a cage, yes that is what they are. We call it his playpen. Our puppy is now 4 1/2 months and is now over 30 pounds and it still contains him easily. Because there is nothing for him to climb on because of the bars unlike other playpens I looked at, he can't climb out. The metal makes it very sturdy and he doesn't try to chew on it. He sleeps in it at night. At first he would flip his food and water bowls so we found bowls designed for crates and attached to the bars so no more flipping. I can see continued use of this far into the future even as he grows. If and when he becomes safe to allow free run of the house even when we are not home, we will remove it otherwise we will use it for a long time. He no longer needs puppy pads in there because he will not pee or poop in there just like a crate trained dog. We cut a tarp out to put under it when we got him at 6 weeks and put a blanket on it but now he prefers just the tarp. Great product and worth the money. Doesn't take up too much room either.

Update: in less than a few months and again i had to buy one . Its the 3th time they to not last anything they break because the dogs get excited and jump on top thus the plastic doesn’t hold and breaks , ugh ! To expensive for this not to last! Update: i still like it however is the second time i have to buy a new one because it keeps breaking because the dogs get hyper when we get home and jump on it (pushing it) see attach picture.. is expensive for this to be breaking like that =( ps: picture is without the cap After days looking for the perfect play-pen/pet-yard i found it. I was skeptical at the beginning but i dont regret it; this is great.. keep in mind that i purchased 2 extra extension as the original ( 5 pcs) was a bit small for my liking and obviously adding an additional pup i had to give them enough space. It was pretty easy to assemble it came almost assembled already; it is also very sturdy and it even has the option to make it sturdier or a bit more flimsy to create the shape of the play-pen by closing or opening the cap on the top see 2nd picture. Its high enough that pups can’t get out. It is sturdy And stay in place and if you need to move it from place it is not that heavy. The only con i could think of is it is not that easy to fold and put away but So far So good I would still highly recommend this. ( FYI: pups have each a bed but they peed on it that’s why they cuddling on one for those wondering why a small bed for 2 pups )
