This little set has been a great fishing pole for my 9 year old. It is very rugged and has survived many snags in trees, etc..It is very easy to use and as long as we have some weighted lures attached, it casts very well! The little bag that it comes in is amazing. Because it is telescopic, we can pack this right in the back of the car easily. Having the little bag that it comes in is amazing!

Bought this as a starter rod to teach my grandson (3 yrs 10 mos) to fish. It is a great size with an easy to use reel and plenty of starter tackle. He is doing great with it and the handle has 3 sections of cork….just in case it goes in the water. For a young child just learning, I would highly recommend and the price was right.

Cute pole and tackle box set ideal for a 3 year old or younger. If you’re looking to buy a pole for a kid over 4 years old or actually want to fish with it, just purchase a small bait pole like the ones made by Shakespeare which will last for a few years. This little “ODDSPRO” pole won’t last long under the wrath of a 4 year old boy but does look cool. My little guy loved it and it came with a cool box, holder, real hooks, and a giant plastic fishing lure that can be used for weighted casting practice or catching small babies. 😆

My wife is teaching me how to fish which is different but she caught eight fish on her first try so I have something to learn. We bought this from my daughter so she could learn how to use the fishing rod. It works great.

This pole looks great but the line is HORRIBLE. Bought this for Christmas and today is the first day we’ve used it. I had on a plastic bobber and the first time I casted it, the line broke, from casting it. 2nd cast, same thing. The line strength is horrible. Do not buy. God forbid we catch a fish, poor fish will be living with a hook/line attached to it for the rest of its life.

Terrible product. Exploded into pieces on the 5th cast. The test line is like sewing line. Surprisingly the exploding is common based on the other reviews. I get that it is cheap but sheesh
