Did fit exactly but worked well
I had a staircase with a landing that had a knob on one rail but not the other. This one wasn't a perfect match but it is really close. The post had a larger hole that was about 1/2 inch deep and then another drill hole. I filled the larger hole with wood glue and then screwed this into the predrilled hole and tightened it. Made for a smooth, solid fit. This piece is rough so you may want to sand it before painting or staining but it really made me happy to have a "complete" handrail and at a reasonable price.

We bought one to see how it would work on upgrading our cedar fence. We were happy with the craftmanship and ordered 9 more. They inadvertently put only 8 in the box. When it arrived, we sent a message thru Amazon. The company responded within 30 minutes and shipped the the last finial the following day. What a pleasant relief to deal with a company that knows the meaning of customer service!

Good product, short screw.
Great price wonderful product—but screws are short! Putting a post cap underneath gave me a very short screw to work with.

Delivery and packaging were great and the specifications were right on! I also learned how to age cedar as I was replacing the finials on a shabby chic fence - vinegar and steel wool?!? Who knew? My fence now looks great! I recommend this supplier!

Screws not centered correctly
Finials looked good. COuld not be installed well. Part of the problem was the fence post. Cedar ball post cap solved the problem.
