Is the packaging compostable?

Hi there! At this time, unfortunately, our packaging is not recyclable or compostable. However, Lotus Foods is on a mission to make all of its packaging more sustainable and either compostable or recyclable. In the meantime, as we tackle this big challenge, we have made important strides to reduce the thickness of our rice and ramen bags in order to reduce packaging materials usage: - Ramen singles packaging has been slimmed down by 25% - Ramen 4 packs packaging has been slimmed down by 12.5% - Rice retail bags by 18%. We have also partnered with other like-minded brands to develop recyclable/compostable packaging solutions.

Anyone try cold soaking these noodles?

no and they take a little longer to cook being brown rice

Does it come with the seasoning packets?

Mine didn’t and I wouldn’t use a packet anyway. I love these noodles. Loved in Japan for years and they remind me of noodles at my fav noodle house. I’ve got a sick family member who can’t eat spicy foods. I use chicken bone broth (Pacifica), minced garlic and minced ginger with a little salt for her. I add a Jammie egg—more than soft boiled but less than hard. For me I use miso paste, dashi and gochugaru chili in broth.
