Recommend this pump. It works well and when we had a problem it was solved straight away

Excellent pump for our new pond

I have been installing these pumps for a couple of years, and this week a third one in 15 months has failed at outset. This is very inconvenient and also distressing for our customers. The latest case showed error message 5 'Impeller Blocked'. It was not blocked at all, it was in pristine fresh hose water and simply would not turn.To make matters worse, the supplier want us to remove it from a fully rocked-in pond which is a big task, in order to return it for 'consideration' of a refund. We don't have time for this and so had no choice but to cut the power cable to get the pump out quickly (it was already getting dark).In conclusion the reliability rate is poor. I have 2 in my own pond which have been fine, but thats not the point; it is unacceptable for a manufacturer to have this high a fail rate.

What can I say, this pump is working faultlessly, unlike my other which isn't an evolution aqua pump. I only wish I'd bought two of these and not opted for one slightly cheaper. Looks like I'll have to replace the other one quite soon and I will be buying another one of these.

This pump is not reliable. It errors many times, each time falsely but in doing so shuts down.Luckily I was home every time it failed so could take action. You either need to power off for some time for it to reset and restart or depending on the error code restart the impeller (falsely states its jammed).I returned mine and purchased another brand.
