Extra Dark French Whole Bean Coffee, 12 oz

Reasonably priced, very good coffee. It is very dark, as described, but still clean and smooth. It tastes like a French roast should, which is what I wanted, not like an Italian. I wouldn't drink this black, but it's great with cream. Nice aroma when ground and brewed.

This was the first time buying this brand and it did not disappoint. It's the best tasting coffee. I will be buying it again.

I’ve been drinking Peet’s Major Dickason whole bean the last few years and thought I’d try something else for a change. I purchased this brand and am very happy with the flavor! There’s something about the Peet’s coffee that was starting to bother me a little. I can’t put my finger on it but there was a a subtle something I was tasting that seemed a little off. Don’t get me wrong, I still greatly enjoy the Peet’s coffee but I am quite glad about the “change of scenery” that my tastebuds are experiencing! I might have to try other brands too! This is pretty darn good coffee, very smooth but still has that great dark roast flavor!

My wife and I love this coffee. Hers with milk, mine straight up. Great, Dark, Deep, Bold, Rich FLAVOR--90% of the time the beans are beautifully oily! One of our favorite things, a few times each week, is cracking open this back and seeing, very dark (not light brown, not medium brown), oily rich beans... and smelling the heaven coming out of these coffee beans. It's rare, but once in a while, a bag if these beans will be dry, not oily. That's life. It's worth it for all the times they are oily and full flavored. Sometimes when we're out we'll try a new (expensive) brand of "French Roast," only to open the bag and discover DRY LIGHT brown beans. WHAT? FRENCH Roast beans should almost be black brown... and NEVER DRY.

Only 4 months until best by date when it arrived

I like dark roast coffee and I hand grind the beans. I've tried a few different dark roast coffees on Amazon. I also occasionally buy whole beans from a local shop that roasts their own beans. The local shop is expensive but it's good. Of the several brands that I've bought on Amazon, I've only really liked 2 of them. This is the one that I'm going to stick with. Not too expensive and decent taste.

OMG!! Best coffee I have found in a long long time. It arrived this morning and I brewed a couple of cup for me and my husband... talk about a Happy Purchase!! Strong, very dark, yet a mild, almost sweet finish. NOT BITTER. Smooth and rich!!! Have already ordered 3 more!!! Would make a great gift, too!!! YUMBO!!!
